so, i was thinking about which are my favorite films of the 21st century.. there are lots of 21st century films i haven't seen and want to see.. anyhoo, i came up with these .... the nightingale (2018).

Part of this film's charm is that it's a sweet little romance between two twelve-year olds. Oskar is bullied at school and is kinda neglected to some degree by his parents, so you really sympathise with this poor kid. And he finds friendship/prepubescent love in a strange place. Oh, and it's a pretty good horror film, too.
