  i'm just thinking of examples of jw doublethink.. here's one - jws will tell a bible study or unbaptised publisher that there is no hierarchy within the org.

  they typically remark on christendom's hierarchy but then say 'we are all brothers'.

  but as a person gets further into the cult, jws will constantly stress the need to obey the governing body.. jw hierarchy .

  Hi all. I'm just thinking of examples of JW doublethink.

  Here's one - JWs will tell a bible study or unbaptised publisher that there is no hierarchy within the org. They typically remark on christendom's hierarchy but then say 'we are all brothers'. But as a person gets further into the cult, JWs will constantly stress the need to obey the Governing Body.

  Another example of doublethink - JWs will condemn other religions for having rituals, and maintain that the WTS is free of them. The reality is the Memorial - all members of my old congregation passed the bread and wine around but didn't take any of it, lol, even the brothers on the mikes would pass it to the speaker and themselves in order to not partake.

  israel retaliated and some are accusing israel of an “act of terrorism”.

  evidently these rockets are trying to get to tel aviv but the dome is getting overwhelmed.. i wonder if the usa and other nations will come to israel’s defense..

  Terrible what's going on in the Middle East.

  There will never be peace because Palestinians (Arabs) and Arabs from surrounding nations simply do not accept Israel's right to exist.

  I have a friend on FB, an Arab woman who was born in Mecca but now lives in the US. I would consider her a moderate person who is well integrated with the West. And even she posts stuff like 'Jerusalem is the capital of Palestine.'

  I love the way Black Hammer, in their total ignorance of history, have lumped together black people and native Americans as colonised people.

  Actually, there were more than a few native Americans who owned black slaves. Many native Americans fought on the side of the South in the US Civil War. They wanted to keep their slaves.

  Neanderthals are fully human - yes, and they apparently mated with Homo sapiens.

  Some ethnic groups, people who left Africa - white people, Indian people, Chinese, Middle Eastern people - have some Neanderthal DNA.

  Sub-Saharan Africans don't.

  What is your status (as of today) as a Jehovah's Witness?

  active believer...still attend meetings, go out in field service, believe it's ''the truth''.

  active non-believer... go to meetings and field service to please family... living a double life .

  inactive believer...don't attend meetings but believe it's the truth, one day might go back to kingdom hall.

  I faded away in Jan 2007. Me and my dad both got calls trying to get us back in 2009/10, which we largely ignored.

  AFAIK, I've never been disfellowshipped, so somewhere, in a KH, I may still officially be a JW, on paper.

  I just live my life. I'm lucky I don't have any family still in, making life hell.

  Edit - I'm a #4 inactive non-believer.
