Harry, Meghan the Royal Apostates

i know that many view them with little interest as just entitled wastes of space and i get that.. however, the description of how they were "trapped" and silenced and forced into perpetuating the system with little or no personal freedom rang bells for me.

They are effectively shunned, estranged and disparaged by their family and cut off from support - but they're not. Recently, Harry has been talking to his grandmother, the Queen, trying to resolve their differences before this Opera interview.
Prince Charles probably didn't return his calls because Harry was probably phoning up asking for more cash. When Harry and Meghan started up their Sussex Royal website, but before they stepped down from public duties, they were still living of Prince Charles' money. He apparently gave them £5 million in their last year before 'cutting Harry off financially'.
Charles cutting Harry off financially was entirely in line with Harry and Meghan wanting independence.
Or did the pair want the freedoms that come with independence, but Prince Charles to pay for it all?
You can see where I'm coming from - Harry and Meghan seem upset that they can't have their cake and eat it.
I learnt that lesson by the time I was 15 or 16, but Harry & Meghan are just accepting it now, lol.
Don't fret too much for Harry & Megs - he received £20 million from his mother, Diana, and £7 million when his great-grandmother (the Queen Mother) died in 2002. Meghan is also apparently worth about £3 million. Then there's their Netflix and Spotify deals.
The UK Monarchy has certain procedures and protocol which people in the family are expected to follow. Harry and Meghan just didn't want to do that.
The Monarchy also has a rigid hierarchy, and Harry & Meghan didn't want that, either.
They are very good at wallowing in victimhood but just look at them - living in California in an £11 million mansion, multi-million pound deals, the lucrative speaking circuit as a future source of income, etc.
And all this going on in a pandemic - lots of people sick and dying of COVID, people laid off work and struggling to get by.
Bottom line: Harry and Meghan are not victims.

I'm against them - they would likely not work (unless it's the unsaid desire of open-borders advocates to change irrevocably the nature of their country/society).
Borders didn't arise artificially, they arose organically.
The Great Wall of China was a border, still visible from space, built to keep out foreign armies and people.
Hadrian's Wall in Britain was also built as a border to keep outsiders out.
And humans aren't the only species of animal which has borders - just search on youtube for wolves, leopards, hyenas, etc., defending their territories along their borders from invasions by conspecifics.

If she didn’t like the monarchy and everything about it, why join? - she fell in love with Harry, one of the world's most eligible bachelors.
She thought it would be great - 'I've found myself a nice prince!' … 'I've married into the UK Royal family and it's gonna be great!' etc.
Trouble is, outsiders have often struggled to fit in with Royal procedure and protocol.
Prince Philip, Princess Diana, the Duchess of York (Fergie) are some names of outsiders who struggled.
It seems that Prince Harry has always mildly resented playing second fiddle to his elder brother and future King, William. Meghan has simply put rocket fuel under Harry's resentment.
Like I say, the Monarchy has a hierarchy and a way of doing things and it won't change any time soon. The Monarchy isn't Hollywood. Harry and Meghan are finding out the hard way.
TBH, I find it difficult to feel sorry for a couple who have so much privilege - the only way they could secure multi-million dollar Netflix and Spotify deals that paid for their Cali mansion was because Harry is Royal-born.

My favorite non-PC film is The Nightingale (2019) by Jennifer Kent.
It's a very hard watch but I consider it an antidote to Hollywood wokery.
On top of multiple rape scenes and bloody violence, it features very strong language …

It’s hard for the family to accept a black person in the family - Meghan is not actually black; she's biracial (thanks to her white father).
Please, please, please can we stop referring to mixed-race people as 'black'.
It is intellectually dishonest to call a half-white person 'black'.
Meghan Markle, Colin Caepernick, Jordan Peel, Barack Obama and Halle Berry are all biracial (mixed-race), not black.

They cannot accept that the Royal Household has hierarchy and that they both were behind the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William in the pecking order .
They overestimate their own importance.

JW Net and Politics
by snare&racket inthis site was and remains instrumental in assisting people that want to leave the jw's.. there has been political discussion here for some time now, a good couple of years and it makes me feel a little uneasy.
i just opened up the site for the first time in some weeks, of the 10 posts being discussed, 4 were by the same poster, about politics, promoting their right wing beliefs.. this has been the trend for some time now, the same name behind a peppering of posts stirring the right v left of politics.. i remain forever grateful to the site and it's founders simon & angharad, i appreciate that simon shares some of these these political beliefs.
it would be a shame to see the site evolve from a place for jw freedom of thought and escape, to political squabbling, that the world is frankly tired of right now.. just to clarify, politics is my hobby, whilst my friends read the football scores, i'm reading polling data.
