  @LHG - yes, I bought a newspaper with it splashed on the front page. I haven't read it yet, tho.

  So, she's convicted - excellent news!!!

  Who the f**k was she tryna kid, lol?

  She was with Epstein for 12 years, they shared the same bed. They were f**king at one stage. She must've known he had an inclination towards young, vulnerable females.

  This is a great day for US justice. Lock her up for the rest of her life.

  Witnesses never watch R movies - I did.

  I remember watching Trainspotting (1996) when I was 18 years old and still in. I remember feeling conflicted. It's clearly a great film but it has lots of naughtiness - sex, swearing, drug-taking, violence.

  I haven't seen any evidence that prayer does anything concrete.

  However, if it puts religious people's minds at rest, or somehow makes them feel better, then prayer could have a benefit basically identical to a placebo.

  Films of the decade - 70s

  well, i'm spoilt for choice for the seventies!.

  so many good movies.

  i own a few more films from this decade - 41 to be exact.. so many great films came out in this decade .... the godfather (1972).

  And no trilogy or beyond has ever held up or gotten better - yes, this is true.

  However, one film stands out to me - the 7th film of the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise - Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994). That film's very good. Wes Craven was way ahead of his time - that film was meta before meta became trendy.

  well, i'm spoilt for choice for the seventies!.

  i own a few more films from this decade - 41 to be exact.. so many great films came out in this decade .... the godfather (1972).

  ss this is the era that spawned “the sequel” which has essentially ruined modern movies - yes it is, and your comments are pretty much spot on.

  The trend is for the first film in a franchise to be excellent, then the quality gets worse and worse the more sequels film studios crap out.

  But I don't like to think that sequels ruined the original movies - however lame the ewoks are, or however silly Rocky 4 is, the original films in those two franchises are still great.

  And let's not forget the first sequel in the Star Wars franchise - The Empire Strikes Back. That film was even better than the first, IMO.
