I am all for diversity and inclusion - yeah, me too. To some degree our society is already diverse and inclusive, although there are always wrinkles to iron out.

Like you, I hate it when diversity is shoved down my throat or when diversity is used to shut down my freedom of speech. Y'know, 'check your privilege'. Er, I'm a white male but I don't really have any privilege.

The only type of diversity I want shoved down my throat is intellectual diversity.

Another issue, at least for me, is when people call our society 'institutionally [something]'. It's like whatever these companies do will never be enough for some activists anyway.

I'm not in a great position to do much boycotting because I'm poor. So, I will continue to buy Gillette Mach 3 razors because I already have the Gillette handle. Although I shave infrequently, again just to save money.

I boycott the TV license, not only to save money but to prevent even more money going to the BBC. I think the BBC should be seriously reformed and all the dead wood should go, but it won't happen.

TBH, I like having a good laugh about all this 'going woke' crap. I have liked a few sites on FaceBook which laugh at events or take the mickey out of some people. It's good to laugh.

Some of it is beyond satire anyway but simply hilarious.

What do I think of it? - well, re the arts, some changes are ok but to change things just to score virtue signalling points is pretty stupid. For instance, if a film maker wanted to make a film of Agatha Christie's novel Ten Little N***ers then it would be fine if the title was changed. But what we're seeing often in film and TV is changes just to please purple-haired Communist-supporters. TBH, I found it quite amusing at first but now it's getting tedious.

So, what we tend to see is female characters being made 'strong' - they usually have purple or pink hair, shaved high at the sides. And they are usually incredible fighters, able to kick men's asses despite weighing 95 pounds soaking wet. Their sexuality is typically non hetero-normative.

It shows a complete lack of creativity.

There are plenty of examples of film and TV going woke. A fair few major franchises have been ruined this way.

Here's one example: a horror film will soon be released called Karen. About a white woman who moves next door to black people and she's racist. Yeah, it's a serious film, not parody of woke culture, lol. Check out the like/dislike ratio to this trailer. XD

Re banks and businesses going woke then broke, there are some examples of this, too. I think Barclays Bank went all-out in their support for LGBT+ Pride Month. I just want a bank which will look after my money and let me draw it out. I don't care about people's private lives. I can't be the only person who feels this way, lol.

All these organisations are free to go woke. But customers are free to choose whether we'll use their services or watch their movies or buy their products.

Hopefully common sense will eventually rule.

My grandmother was one of his victims. I remember her telling me and my dad when we visited her home.

I think she was lucky because she told us he didn't rape her. But he did touch her inappropriately after breaking into her house at 3 o' clock in the morning. She must have been terrified.

I knew Delroy Grant lived a double life but I didn't know he was a JK, and I didn't know Splane said that about him. Splane is nearly as much of an asshole as Delroy Grant.

I know some women are XXY and some scientific sources that some of them are fertile - this is all very well but these people are statistical outliers. They are well outside the average.

And in science, averages are very important. If an alien from outer space came to Earth and asked us about men and women, we'd say that women have XX chromosomes and get pregnant, because that's how the average woman is. We'd also say that men have a penis and testicles and produce viable sperm because that's what the average man is like.

I think you're doing two things: you're downplaying the importance of sex chromosomes, plus you're being a bit dishonest with statistics in that you are attaching too much importance to statistical outliers.

If they didn't, then XY people could get pregnant and have children. They can't, of course.

And that's why have have two sexes - f**king and having kids.

I still think you're downplaying the importance and role of chromosomes.

Down's Syndrome people are the way they are because of the number of chromosomes they have, right?

@Disillusioned JW - you're minimising the role and importance of sex chromosomes.

Fertile human females have XX chromosomes. A trans-woman can never have a baby.

Fertile human males have at least one Y chromosome. A trans-man can never father a child.

These facts don't matter too much when we're talking specifically about trans women athletes wiping out the XX competition in women's sports, but they do matter when we're discussing what a woman is and what a man is, and what they've evolved to do (hint: they've evolved to f**k and have babies).

The broader issue here is that human interaction is a two-way street. Trans women may identify as women but not everyone else will see them as that. And, really, both opinions are fine.

I may identify as a nice guy but some people will see me as an asshole. The problem here is that trans activists are trying to force people to share their particular views, and demonise them if they dare to have a different opinion (e.g. see JK Rowling).

@Justaguy - yes, I recently saw The Dark Night. Generally speaking, I'm not a big Batman fan but that movie was good.

Here's one of my favorite scenes from Black Swan (2010). Natalie Portman gives a great performance as Nina, a gifted ballet dancer who is under great pressure to get the main role in Swan Lake and kinda disintegrates mentally. Here, she gets back from a nightclub and just kinda rebels against her mom. This is such a change from Portman playing Padme Amidala. I thought she had all the charisma of a piece of wood in the Star Wars prequels but here she's great.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Medical Commission now recognizes that the sex hormone levels are a much more relevant factor in determining sex/gender for sport's competitions, than the sex chromosomes - even this is debatable.

What is the biological function of the two sexes? Why, it's to make the next generation via sexual reproduction.

And only XX individuals can get pregnant and give birth.

And only individuals with at least one Y chromosome can produce viable sperm and impregnate someone.

One of the fundamentals of biology is this: the phenotype comes from the genotype.

And in this case, the genotype is sex chromosomes and the phenotype is tits & pussy or cock and balls.

I read that Chris Evert, former no 1 womens player and 18 time Grand Slam winner, never ONCE won a match against her brother ... who wasn't even a professional player - I didn't know that, but I can believe it.

A few years ago when Venus and Serena were in their primes they challenged the men's world number 200 ... and this guy had a bottle of beer in the morning, then beat Venus in the first set, then beat Serena in the second set.
