Hard to Remember but Back in the Ninteen Fifies...

my writing a book about my strange life as a jw.

i need some help.. does anyone remember when they used to get these charts out at the service meetings which had all the hours, "back calls" and bible studies on it?

what did they call that?.

Congregation Prepares Sermon
It was a pleasure for the Society to receive reports from congregations stating that the three- to eight-minute and ten- to fifteen-minute sermon outlines in the October, 1955, "Inform-ant" have been of much assistance to brothers. Since the arrangement to supply an outline for the entire congregation to discuss and develop and then use in the field has been so successful, another very practical out- line is shown below. It will be handled in the same manner as the last ones. Brothers should be encouraged to study the outlines before coming to the meeting and to have with them a pencil and paper to Jot down points they wish to remember. It would be well for the school servant or another capable brother to serve as chairman.

my lds, long-time, friend sent me article at www.pinktruth.com -- adult children of dysfunctional families: the perfect recruiting pool for the mlm industries.

it's a good read how people are automatic victims to mary kay cosmetics -- makes perfect sense.

makes more sense they're easy prey to cults thus the success of watchtower and mormonism.

- Show them these quotes and tell them that MLM is not only a scam, but actually AGAINST their religion.

The Snare of Materialism
8 Satan also uses the lure of materialism to entrap us. The commercial system of this world often promotes get-rich-quick schemes that may even beguile some of God’s people. At times, individuals may be urged: “Work hard. When you reach a comfortable position, you can take it easy and enjoy life. You can even pioneer.” Such words may be the unbalanced reasoning of some who take financial advantage of their associates in the Christian congregation. Think carefully about that incentive. Does it not mirror the thinking of the “unreasonable” rich man of Jesus’ parable?—Luke 12:16-21.

The JW funeral talk outline - poor taste or REALLY poor taste?

so i attended a funeral for a jw who passed away (non-"annointed) and i would have to state that although i have heard the standard funeral talk outline for dozens of funerals i've attended, i never really took the time to listen.

and my god, i was cringing.

Today the two elders did not appear to declare at prosecutor's citation

today the two elders who stalked my sister were absent at the prosecutor's citation.

they were waited for 1 hour, but they did not come.

this attitude favors their culpability.
