My waking up started with looking at JWN for KM's (Atlantis, I am forever in your debt) AND

Visiting the Flood section of Watchtower Letters. That site confirmed my doubts, forced me to look at the facts and eventually helped me wake up.

It is my first stop when someone brings up the topic of Noah or the Flood.

Fighting about college

my nephew is a sweet, smart, thoughtful person.

he wants to go to college.. normally, a mom would be proud to have a son like this.. nope, not a friggin jw mom.

apparently, he's being selfish to both her and jehovah.

Cognac, can you help by showing your nephew how to look for scholarships online? Also, his high school probably has lots of scholarship information and most high schools use a website that keeps track of their SAT scores and lets them search for potential schools. Maybe you can convince his mother to fill out the free FAFSA form which would help him quality, maybe, for financial aid.

YES! He will understand that this is his ticket to freedom.

'Seek the Kingdom First' Economics

has anyone else's family finances been victim to the 'seek the kingdom first' economic policy?.

for years, my husband and i have had our own business, my husband is not the most proactive guy, prefers to go in field service than to work, but he has always encouraged me to 'rely on jehovah and all these other things will be added to you', 'seek the kingdom first' etc etc.

there have been times, such as when i was heavily pregnant and we lost a big deal, that i have been begging jehovah on hands and knees to honour that promise, wondering why he wasn't helping us.

Last night I heard the CO outline for 2015 about "Inspired truth" & "Inspired falsehoods" (in Spanish) and he listed Saving For The Future as a teaching of the demons!

He also listed higher education.

he told me the elders already testified for his ex and lied in court.
