i often download open yale courses audio for my mp3 player.

i work repatative in the morning so get 3-4 hours of courses,.

one done today on the philosephy of death made a point.. if you lived 300 years you might might still remember childhood.. 500 year childhood might be gone and by then you are not the same person you were at 50. in fat you might not even rmembe you were that person!.

Data I'm not denying cybernectic could grant a form of imortality but even if memory tranfers is true and we have hot female robots lol....

1000 year the guy or girl you are is NOTHING like the person you were at 30-40-50 etc. By that time you are a renewed person many times over and likely have no memmory of your youth.

Jesus 1000 year reign is not where I want to be and the paradise after is far worse. We are better to die in the JW World

yesterday evening my wife and i were invited to friends house for new year's eve.

we met them when i was a christian and we have kept in touch.

i'm a single hispanic guy in my mid 30s living by myself in suburban america.

i own a home in the kind of neighborhood where you have to get hoa permission to do just about anything, including chopping down a tree.

i'm a white collar worker and lead a pretty boring life.

I live in a trailer park now and have met many nice neighbours. Others not... buts thats okay they are friendly mostly.

I have a wife and son but she rarely walks around the park.

I work 200m from work. So every morning I get up and walk past many of my neighbours at 5:30am with cowboy boots on making a 'thump sound'.

No one has complained.

I'ma ham radio op. I have many antennas... no complaints.

However rereading your post the second time I have found what might be the problem. HOA<<< I don;t live in the US but I know Nazi Germany when I see it.

You are a homeowner BUT THEY are in control of YOUR property. If you want to cut a dying limb off you tree THEY need to say yes. So as such they fell since they were here first you are beneath them.

Although I have made strong statements against religions in the past I personally see no problem with believeing in something greater then yourself (which is what spirituality is defined as) Thus I have found a study of religion facinating.

That said when born agains post here I shy away. They believe a guy from 2000 years ago lives inside there somewhere (Call a Doc. Mr. Jesus ran up my A**.) Seriously I know how they get that (the bible) but I shy way for those people nowadays. Let them live with 'Jesus in their heart'. << Maybe the cause of the next heart attack lol

Objective I trust it in many places but doubt somethings. Don't trust everything you read of Herod for instance.

Since Josephus becomes his own main charactor later in the etxt we must be careful when you see Josephus doing heroic acts. It is a very prideful book.

I like Bart Ehrman but disagree about Jesus.

I think based on eye witness testimony there were 2 Jesus's

1. A high preist of Jerusalem in the Jewish war... his borther was named James and was executed.

2. A crazy (likely Essenes) preacher during 70CE that after crying for many days Jerusalem would fall was crush by a rock for and engine in the Roman attacks.

Don't believe me.?? Read 'War of the Jews"

Has anyone noticed the tablets, live feeds, half the magazines original material on the web, the elders reporting things by the site?

The WBTS is becoming and internet religion quickly. The oldies are dying and the younger ones are leaving... the WT is using a last hopeful methoid.

Actually I like some of the religious posters here that maintain thier faith despite others. Often the majority make simple faith based comments and I don't ignore them but neither do I feel the need to debate them.

Ones like the thread being discussed here are simplt idiotic. The poster challenges everyone at once and claims reading the bible will help some.

Reading the bible will:

1. Make one a better JW (if their mind is condtioned)

2. Make one born again likely as the Pauline and Johannine works seems to teach it (sort of)

3. Make ones atheists.

4. Makes some Catholic or Islamic.

The possibilities are endless. As such it was a good debate. Then it went downhill.

I for one despite being atheist find religion and their ideas facinating //
