Booker: perhaps it would help if you gave an example?
I am unclear as to the response you are looking for.
you do seem like you are frustrated.
i have noticed with "apostates/exjws" they always resort to "watchtower-bashing" whenever you show them inconsistencies of the bible.
we could be talking about contradictions, such as where did cain get his wife if adam, eve, abel, and cain were the only ones on earth?
the usual answer when they cannot answer will be "well the wt gave false prophecies in 1975".

Gary thanks for sharing your story. It is nice to get to know more about you. I have always appreciated your comments and threads.
I can relate to your situation because my husband was an UBM. I recognize myself sometimes in your wife's actions.
My husband let me work it out for myself. I eventually got there but it took awhile.

Booker: I am puzzled by your question.
When you say most exJW's or apostates do you mean most Christian exJW's or apostates?
Because I know many here would have replyed " the stuff is made up or a fantasy story".
Then they might blast the watchtower or religion in general for insisting on taking the bible literally.
So I think you should clarify your OP.

it's long but i assure you it's a great read.. .
Lol. I thought that was funny too. I would have loved to see the look on their face when he said that.
literally, a text message to my husband from one of his "friends".
he also wrote, "it's in her hands.
it's her move now.
(((((Cognac))))): just popped in to check on you.I know you must have your hands full right now.
if you read this know my thoughts are with you.
so is it possible to understand a reason and not respect it?
shouldn't understanding lead to a respect of the reasons and actions?.
or can you respect the reasons and actions without understanding them?.
Ah...Coco, if only...*sigh*😮what a different world this would be.*wistful smile.*

Legacy, I really think God has more pressing things to concern himself with.
2 people in a committed relationship without bring legally acknowledged shouldn't be one of them.
I agree with you about judging and being judged in return. Too bad many "Christians" do not follow that principal.
does a female kingdom publisher need to wear a head covering if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher?.
in a questions from readers item published in the watchtower of july 15, 2002, it was stated that a sister should cover her head if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher, whether he is baptized or not.
further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate.. if the male publisher who accompanies the sister while she conducts an established bible study is baptized, the sister would certainly want to wear a head covering.
Blondie, you may be right. It seemed to happen alot until there was a part on the meeting about what was and was not appropriate head covering.
This was in the late 60's , I remember seeing my mom wearing a scarf on a normal putting to protect her hair. She got it "done" once a week. So it was surprising that she did not have one with her.
These sisters did not want to conduct. I think they figured if they didnt have a covering so someone else would have to conduct.

Sometimes when the sisters would meet for "service" there would be no Brothers to conduct the meeting for service.
I have this memory of when I was little (around 1968 or so),
of these sisters scrounging around looking for a scarf for a head covering so someone could conduct the meeting for service.
They couldn't find one, so a sister went to the restroom and brought back a paper towel. They past the towel around saying to eachother here you do it, no you do it. They were all laughing but no one really wanted to take the lead and wear the napkin.
so I have this mental picture of a grown women leading the text and prayer trying to keep a napkin balanced on her head.
Later on someone got smart and left a scarf at the hall to use.
and they left the congregations, would you then feel open to be thier friends?.
many on here have the same complaint, that in the jw congregations, there were clickes, no one had time for each other,.
people judged, there was a lack of association, freindship , true concern and love were lacking.
I think so what has a point. Just because someone learns TTATT does not automatically make them a likeable or better person. Hopefully it will expand thier horizons but sometimes they trade one prison for another.
