  do you want to know why i think people don't believe in god?

  well i believe people don't want to believe in god because they are scared.

  they know that if they finally do gorge the confidence to believe in him, he might discipline them for their skepticism.

  25 YEARS of compiled yearbook statistics

  hello again folks - as promised in my last thread here, i've been working on turning yearbook statistics into excel spreadsheets.. coincidentally, today is my 25th birthday (spare a thought for a fader).. i've now updated the spreadsheet with yearbook data all the way back to 1988 (the year i was born), therefore it now contains 25 years of statistics.. there were a lot of countries changing around and for some it was possible to create a continuation of data.

  some are a simple change of name like south-west africa to namibia.

  others, for example - in 1993 with czechoslovakia splitting into two countries (czech republic and slovakia) i have added an extra row that provides a continuation of the data, combining czech republic and slovakia back together as if they were still one country.

  Active posters: What education have you had, what degrees do you possess?

  from so many posts and conversations on here, you'd think over 1/2 the posters here possess doctorates in theology, physics, biology, etc.

  i'm curious aside from the books and research people have done here, what degrees they have.

  to start, i just got an aa and going straight through full time to an mba.

  .When a physical force (inner power) wraps itself around an abstract concept (god) , the result is blind belief; which, in your parlance, is convoluted in the postulation above. What you are essentially saying is "shut your mind to all intellectual rationalization to the contrary, and just believe in my irrational intellectual creation called santa claus just becuse it makes me feel like jesus. Ain't that just 'twirling' your eyes to the 'book' that made you believe in santa in the first place. Consequently, It takes 'integriry' and this "inner power' that you speak of ,to rationalize and reject this fairy god father and the JWian mind-trap which you seem to be championing so devoutly and cluelessly.

  i'm new to this forum.. i was raised in " the truth" from age six and now i am in my mid 60's.

  my wife was born in " the truth" and is very strong in the religion.
