  My first and hopefully last vent on JWD

  i was talking to my trying-to-exit-the-cult fraternal twin brother yesterday about life, the jehovah's witness cult, and our jw parents.. he repeated, calmly and succintly, that he hates our parents.

  i could not argue with him.

  i used to, being a parent myself.

  It's ok to vent..... I am so sorry to read about your physical abuse from your Mother

  Seems like she is living in denial of that physical abuse and now she has carried over with severe verbal/emotional abuse......

  I am not in your situation but I would consider her very "toxic" and not worthy of your company in any way shape or form until she has apologized and tries to make amends for all the abuse she has dished out to you.

  Please make sure you are around people that see your value.... that is what you need right now.

  Vent all you want...you deserve it!

  i have been reading this board for about 4 years.

  after 38 years of being a baptized jehovah's witness, i did some research on the internet and found enough evidence to quit.

  that was 4 years ago and i am so much happier now.

  my "father" decided to send me an email!

  and here we go... my "father", an abusive bastard of a jw, recently sent me an email that put me in a tizzy!

  it was late friday night, i had just gotten home from a shift at a local bar where i bartend on occasion!

  I am so sorry for all the pain you have endured.

  I personally despise people that use email as a way of communicating with family on "highly sensitive issues". That alone is very impersonal. Your adopted Dad's message was one from a "fantasy world"....he has never accepted responsibility for all the abuse he gave you. This guy needs a "wakeup call. Sooner or later he willl receive it. Ignoring his email is your best defense. Like you said, there was no apologies, just more ways of "tearing you apart". Hitting the "junk" button on your computer will soon block all his messages. Maybe changing your email address would be a better way of keeping him away?

  I admire you for your accomplishments and for having a wonderful girlfriend to greet you when you come home from a hard day of work.

  Why 6 Billion People Deserve to Die in Armageddon

  jehovah is such a righteous, merciful, loving god -- slow to anger, overflowing with loving kindness and blessing.

  yet it somehow bothers many of you that he will shortly execute his judgment on mankind and wipe out 99.9% of the world's population, as if that somehow is supposed to conflict with his loving qualities.

  personally, i have no idea why many of you feel this way.

  Makes me wonder how I ever "went along with the destroying concept". Well, I was "raised in it"...

  I remember moving all the time. When in "service", the car group would inform me that my door had a "goat". Funny thing, those goats were always NICE to me!!! Seems like the real "goats" were in the car....lol

  REPOST: For those without Mothers

  mothers day can bring up many issues for some of us.

  for some their mothers have passed away and the opportunity to say i love you in person is forever lost.

  for others our mothers are lost to the borg.

  Lady Lee...thank you for this thoughtful thread.

  As for me............I had a great, loving Mom that died of cancer when I was 14.

  I still grieve for her, even though I am now 50.

  My JW son relinqueshes contact............knows I have had no MOM since I was 14. He saddend my heart greatly.........it's been 6 months since that hateful email.

  However, we had a business trip and NOdenial got to see 2 of his 3 kids. HIs oldest gave me a "Mother's Day Card" and gift..........(her fiancee said a word also on the card> He doesn't understand why family alienaties your family discarded. He blieves that is just NOT the thing to do) I actually wanted to cry as my step-kids gave me honor my OWN kids don't.(they know about my JW son relinquishing contact too. In fact my daughter in law was a JW till 2 years ago)

  They have no clue just how much this meant to me..........

  Wife finally sees truth about "the truth"

  well it has finally happened.my wife is not going back to the meetings again.as you would probably read in my previous posts, i have written a book about my experience in the watchtower organisation which is on the verge of being published.she still tried to cling to what little belief she had in the borg and did not want to read my manuscript.we discussed many of the issues and concerns i had about the watchtower but most of the times it ended in a heated argument.. i was quite surprised when she approached me about two weeks ago and asked to read my manuscript.after reading it she handed it back to me and said she fully supports me in publishing this book.her eyes have been opened to the deception and lies.i think she and a friend had a bad experience calling on one of her so-called jw friends.furthermore, she did not attend this past weekends circuit assembly..

  hooray!!!.

  all i have to do now is to introduce her to all you wonderful people here on jwd.. jakes.
