  we're back from the hospital

  ok well the tonisllectomy went well.

  they got the tonsils and the adenoids and didn't go ahead with the tubes in her ears.. they kept her overnight because of her history with the apnea and with the anasthesia, they wanted to keep an eye on her for one night.

  we got back this morning.. she did awesome!!!!

  i know it's a bit early, but i imagine some of us won't be around to post in the next couple of days.. i baked my very first pecan pie for our company's thanksgiving potluck today.

  the only other thing i've ever baked was a batch of chocolate chip cookies.

  well, the pie was a hit.

  Our neighbors invited us over.....we are very new to the area.. They have been very good friends to us as well. I am making a sweet potatoe casserole (made it last year and it was yummy) and an appetizer. Bringing some wine too!!!

  I am just agreeing with Purplesofa's thread and saying there are people that feel like she does... I think she needs a lot of support now...

  I don't plan on changing my character at all....just need to find purpose in life and the selective lobotomy (to remove the pain caused from cult issues)

  Yes, Purps...I am feeling the same way.

  I am deep down the same person I was when an active Jw: kind to people, good morals, and love my family. Those are facts about my character.

  I think de-programming takes years....

  Personally wishing I could invent the "selective lobotomy"....I would make millions and forever get rid of the pain that haunts me.

  my partners brother is being released from state prison on 12/7 and jake has to go to huntsville to pick him up.

  i am cooking a big thanksgiving dinner and his mom wants me to duplicate it when the a**hole gets home and cook a big dinner for x-mas too.

  i get 1 day off a week and i am starting to resent being the fricking maid.

  on my years as a jw i have always had doubts.

  i have dismissed these as me being overly critical or some such nonsense.

  now i'm on my way out the door, well i"m out the door i'm just working on shutting it right now.

  Many believe it is the "closest thing to the true religion" and misquoting the scriptire: where else would they go? And you can't forsake the gatherering of yourselves together as Heb. 10:24 and 25 states, because that is a sin.

  So they stay... and stay because they have family and friends that are also in that religion and IF they leave they won't have family and friends.
