My family has an elder, a young elder who was over there the whole time. He was freaking out and at the same time outraged that the RC had dared to have the Shepherding book. Too bad. They had it and there was nothing anyone could do about that.

And there we have it..... The process of the RC is forever on the internet. People will always be curious. There is good video evidence now available in the public domain.
The WTBTS can order the r@f not to look at them, but really..........curiosity is a big part of our makeup and being ordered not to do this or look at by people who claim such exulted status is not going to stop many from having a "peek". Then another.........I know this commission will not force great change. I just want it there, all ready and served up for future generations to access. WT does not control the internet, only it's own site. Of that I am very glad.

as i understand it mr. jackson, you interpret revelation 7 to mean that only 144,000 will go to heaven and that these 144,000 will rule the earth.
i also understand that your organization teaches that women are part of this "remnant" of 144,000. can you explain why jesus christ is willing to put women in leadership over the entire earth but you are not willing to permit them to have anything to do with helping victims of pedophiles in your congregation?
The thing is. This Commission isn't really about actual beliefs.........that is, unless those beliefs hurt children and suppress the women.
Questions like that are quite the focus of this commission. I wish they had a stronger look at the financials too.
As of now, so many people are saying he just won't turn up on this and other forums. I wonder, why do so many feel this way?
Imagine how the abused ones feel at the thought of not getting the disclosure of all the societies rotten actions brought out into the light of day?

You know what? I'm going to remain as neutral in my thinking as possible, because I have found that so much was revealed in this RC. His Honour and Stewart were so savvy, and caught the glib mouthed elders, lawyers et ale... in lies and deceptions time and again.
I underestimated the strength of Stewart for a few minutes there...........then I realized this was a huge team of over 300 staff involved in the RC into WTower practices and it was all flooding out. I have to have some faith about the capacity of this RC to override the diversions and half truths.
What I am saying is..............I am going to pump all my good thoughts toward this RC and those who will question. If Jackson doesn't turn up, he will be in deep deep legal trouble. We have extradition agreements between America and Australia.

I think this is one of the best outcomes I could ever have imagined. I know it will mean so much for so many. I don't expect a miracle but I hope they grill him and grill relentlessly until he is forced into telling the bloody truth. Or.......he lies and lies and they let him lie, then they give him some nice documents that fly right in the face of his/their, deceptions.

i'd not heard of that site, so checked it out.
it seems to be used by many active jws - its tumblr style archive is full of pictures of jws doing their thing.

Just spoke with my D associated sis, she is still very defensive of this religion. The discussion was just plain tense, so tense and I know it's because she might still believe that this is the truth and this is a worldly Satanic attack on the society.
Never had such a tense discussion like that before in a long time. Her daughter is a full in JW along with her husband.
So, you never know how anyone is going to respond to unflattering revelations about WTland.
while the australian royal commission may be the focus of our attention at the moment, we should not forget that this is a much wider problem.
previous official investigations in australia (inquiring into church run homes for kids)have revealed horrible examples of abuse, as have similar investigations in canada and ireland.. and international news today reports on this mass incident in pakistan.

I have always known this. The RC in this instance is useful to many who truly believed in the doctrines they were taught and the wonderful spin of the WTBTS.
In this specific RC it was to have a damned good look at a religion that claims charity status. I found a letter sent to WT Australian on the RC site, and it clearly states how to turn certain funds into............only a donation. This was in order to get around some potential problems facing WT over here. Went a bit off track there. The main thing is that we all know of this problem, it's just a bit hard to take from any religion claiming to have the knowledge and means to assist others to spiritual wellness, or everlasting life.
