it seems that with all the bad press and now the arc among other institutions that are exposing the wbt$ for a haven for paedophiles, why hasn't the wbt$ simply changed it's insane policy?.

I have a small group of psychologists who have become interested in this religion and the evidence that came to light. Two psychiatrists are now more than ever curious about the reasons for certain "seemingly unfixable problems" they have encountered with young adult witness people and teenagers. These were in health care for vague reasons and depressions that really got so bad, they self harmed and a few died.

I have been very busy in my part of the world......Don't care what anyone thinks JW wise anymore...Just doing my bit. Printing out testimony, called four Women's Health Centres with information and links............Sometimes it takes a while, but someone will come across a confusing case, sometime and go Ah!! Who was that mad bitch who called that day talking about a RC, and where's her bloody number......oh! Here's the link and the testimony she posted...........small steps and giant leaps of faith, to be real corny

Try not to think that way if possible. You know there is usually a time when all sorts of revelations come out, on every level of our society. I can't lose faith for one second. I refuse to lose faith.

Please have some faith in the very basic good that resides in people. I know we read all about the bad as it seems to be all that is "newsworthy". But don't forget those billions who are good and although they are not in the media, it doesn't mean they, we, you..are without the power to effect changes.

Don't fall into listlessness.

Every single comment you people have stated I agree with. Right now I am so exhausted and worn down I hardly know what to do. So much to do in the near future and a lot of pressure has been put upon me and I would say, many many others who are about to give evidence. I have been told this by good honest sources.

The really ugly bit is just about to begin. What you saw publicly was a good warm up folks.

It has been against the law for decades in this country to "not" report a crime. Abuse is a crime. The WTBTS has called it "loose" conduct, sinning and what ever else they can drum up.

The RC is retro-active in nature as well. It is not simply going to look at what the WT does in the future, but what it did, with full knowledge in it's attempt to hide "crimes against children" in the past.

This means there will be court cases founded upon the things that were discovered at the commission. It was stated very early on by Justice McClellan that this was about "redress for past victims". Did anyone else here this? Because I did, and then I read it....It hardly matters anymore whether WT changes policy or not because the matter will be taken out of their hands. If a child is home schooled perhaps, suddenly......there is no way this will not alert some authority figure. Things will change, money will start floating out of their doors or banks or whatever.

The society will love this....they will call it the start of the Great Tribulation and go door to door preaching the same old crap, but this time, there may some problems on the horizon. I've got faith that this will not dry up into nothing.

I don't care what the WT does now. Jackson was a gutless lying witness who didn't even have the courage to admit what is in their own publications......."That they say they are god's mouthpiece on earth, or the FDS or some other bloated statement"

I have read and re read his testimony, I have close up knowledge that he was not believed, and to go a step further, NO one at the commission believed the lying elders on the stand. That included the sudden bouts of memory loss......So go ahead WTBTS and carry on as usual, you will soon be selling off more properties, you have completely proven to this person that you are liars once and for all.........

Hello and welcome. I have been treated well here. No attacks upon my feelings. A generally good place to vent if need be and a good place to find out what is going on. In this it is excellent, for many people find out what is coming before it is officially announced. This is a good site, not cruel or arrogant....Take excellent care of your selves.

i discovered that my 96-year-old grandaunt had named her jw elder as personal representative of her estate and another jw "best friend" as her power of attorney.

i learned that they used a financial advisor at wells fargo advisors to help raid my grandaunts bank accounts in the years before her death, and then the wt and jws received most of what was left of her estate.

i am currently working on a book to expose this horrific practice.

Oh.........I just don't have the words to express how sorry I am for your' Aunt and for you. And I do think you have done the absolutely right thing in putting this up...It's a dark dark side of people and considering there is this religious side to it......It becomes uglier...exposure is the best way to go. Your' attempt to bring this out is outstandingly just and I hope you raise awareness...so sorry..

straight after the commission ended today within minutes, the phone rang.

it was one of the people who are working on it.

firstly she established if i was alright and did i want to talk.. i said i was too tired and unhappy that geoffrey jackson managed to do some preaching....she said they were aware of that.

If the Watchtower are not watching this site..........I would be very surprised indeed.!!

There is no ammunition to be gained by the WTBTS in terms of developing a case against the statements they, the elders, the COs, the GB Jackson and whoever else spoke, wrote or typed...........nothing is to be gleaned in terms of building up a defence against such indefensible actions where you collectively did nothing kind, moral or legal as a religious organization.

For, they did not protect children from sexual predators.......There is nothing that can be gained in trying to defend this "evidence" that has come to light. And incredibly, they held onto it in bloody envelopes?!

It is all there. There is nothing hidden except the identity of those courageous women who came forward. My god, it must have been devastating for them, but they did it!!

The evidence is hard evidence, ie documents sent back and forth between the society, the congregations ...even that terribly sad letter written by hand by one of these women.. I do not see, feel, believe or have a shred of doubt that WT has anything to support their past actions and neglects. They are on utube stating that women can never be more than a co pilot.........Watch away Watchtower, read on, scroll through all the comments and links that people write, then skulk away in shame.......

Dear Villlage Idiot. The Royal Commission hasn't stopped. That is the point I was trying to make. I understand that the "public" face of it may have. I do think that others here have mentioned that this actually started in 2013. The livestream was just one aspect of it, for ...........I don't know, perhaps the need for a public audience to feel they had "access" and were not cut out of proceedings.

The commission goes from state to state, from person to person........This is funded for an extra two years. Try not to feel frustrated, as this is when we all make mistakes. I know I have made many in the past. Just quietly, quietly follow events when you feel inclined. And take heart in the fact that "all that was said" is transcribed. And that is that!! No one can say.........." I didn't say that!? For there it all is, on the RC website.
