One of the most important questions.
by Lemonp init is enthralling having everything being dragged kicking and screaming into the light of day.
however one of the most important things to ask is this:.
is the rc evidence admissable in other countries and other courts?.

ABibleStudent. How do you think this Royal Commission came into being?
People like me, wrote to the authorities, signed petitions, sent emails and generally wouldn't shut up. That's how it happened, make a lot of noise and get in touch with local government, in state after state, until it gains momentum...........

Don't let on too much though. There may be WT lawyers who are brought in from outside and we don't like to let them know about the delivery of the deadly questioning dart system. Steel hand in a velvet glove approach is perfected by these men and women. Always so very polite, but watch out that you do not lie to them or not respect their vested powers of veto.
That was Geogh .....damn Goughfff...damn again........just say it phonetically.....that was Prime Minister Goff Whitlam's government.... and I remember that well .............can't spell it right now because I'm drinking fortified coffee this early morning..........Irish coffee......
Royal Commission can force the closure of institutions, banks, unions.........oh the list goes on. It is not politically based as such. Yet it has England's first lady..... HRH backing it up.

Does the RC have the names of the 1006 abused victims?
by Dumplin ini've updated my jw wife on the highlights of the rc proceedings each day as they occur.
but tonight she said something that made my blood boil (which i am usually in complete control of).
she said something to the effect that victims need to not dwell on what happened and let it control their lives.

His Honour, warned a WT lawyer on Friday, that it's focus was not going to be swayed away from past wrongs perpetrated against victims of an already horrible crime, by dint of WTs shocking approach to the whole sexual molestation claims and their neglectful and cruel attitudes. He was getting pissed off with the WTguy and his equally inefficient "expert" Miss CrabApple who croaked her way limpingly, ingloriously, over the finishing line that was Friday.
I don't see WT lawyers being able to bully or derail this commission, for the commission is too well read and experienced in stalling tactics.

The Greens and independent senator Nick Xenophon ....
This guy is terrific. He is a bit eccentric, but he is very committed to correcting "wrongs". This includes tough laws and sentencing. He never chops and changes to please anyone....Nice guy.

Cardinal Pell, was one of the those "elder like" men, we saw during last week. He was called sociopathic by some of his fellow peers. He would have loved to stay in Rome, doing whatever Rome does, but he was sort of 'forced' to return and face the music. Now he waxes compassionately? Hmmm strange shift in his outlook. He is not popular here at all.
Don't believe those quotes of outrage you have read. Someone probably slipped him a note telling him what to say, because he is incapable of relating to suffering.

Well. I've enjoyed the banter here and the genuine concern for victims. I haven't slept for about three days. Just a nap here and there. I can't relax until this is all covered as far as the Royal Commission goes.
I have to say that you mad and lovely people have been awesome company. I love the humour here, the research, and the debates. There is more support in this place than any I have ever had in terms of coping. People get all hepped up over some things, then it all dies down and the search for wonderful gossip begins all over again. Secretly, I hope the WTBTS fall apart. I for one would be more than willing to get a trumpet and walk around their precious properties............if I thought it would crash them all.
Got to have a nap now. It is gone 5:30 here in Western Australia.

Plus Heaven, may I remind you of how progressive they are with regard to degrading sexual practices........Not too long ago, a JW wife could not divorce her husband for beastiality because they were pretty sure that no half human half dog, cat, chook or horse would be born of this unholy alliance.
Then one day....they saw it was "not good". And they changed their minds........I think.
You are so lacking in faith for these " holy beyond holiness of these spirit appointed men" to guide you through the Great Tribulation and the big A. Where..... you too can have a dog, cat, badger or sit on a pit of friendly snakes............

That statement by WT is two edged. Imagine a little girl of eight trying to find the right words to explain what she has gone through. Imagine how easy it would be for "elders" to disclaim her or his statements.
And if her father is the abuser? Or her mother? Again, if some adult assisted, there would be leeway for the elders to refute this child's statement and claim she was lead to say things by the person assisting her/him. It is full of holes and is worth pointing out to the Commission.
