  Any research on Fred Franz?

  just curious if anyone out there has done or knows of an extensive biography of fred franz.

  since he was such a pivotal person in the wtbts it would be interesting.

  i know that the bible students are writing a biography of charles t. russell and alan f has said that someone is writing a bio of j.f.

  who is the faithful and wise servant?

  it's a question that the wt has misused to establish its own authority.

  as it is, the parable today as a cautionary tale applies to whoever it fits, but it is clear who the original servant was that inspired the parable.. .

  Was Jesus Christs' physical body disposed of?

  the watchtower teaches that the body of jesus christ was "disposed of" after three days.

  the scriptures however say:.

  note the following:the same temple that was to be destroyed was to be raised up: the "it" in the phrase "raise it up" clearly refers back to "this temple".

  My elder study had a problem with the bodily ressurection. It is total fabrication to insert the thought that "Jesus found a simular body with wounds in it." Hence, the Jw has to do away with any type of Jesus' own body raising.

  Then again when pressed, the Jw has no answer as to what came down from heaven to begin with!

  i'm new here, i only just found this site the other day so i don't know if i'm repeating something that has already been covered.

  i'm sorry if i am.. can anyone help me on the scripture in genesis 2v9.. it says that god created two trees, the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and bad.

  these were put into the garden before adam and obviously before adam and eve sinned.. if this is the case, does that mean god created bad?

  I believe that the total sovereignty of God, has to have God creating evil. With that said God is the only "free agent."

  much has been said on this forum about the reasons for the jw lack of growth in western lands.

  numerous explanations have been put forward for this and for the future prospects of the organization.

  but, above all else, i believe that there is one overriding reason behind it all.

  Chronology is alive and well !

  Rubadub, I believe you are correct in this statement.

  I ve been studying with an elder for over a year and recently re-visited 607,539, 455, 33CE,1914. This elder holds to these dates because he has to. Ive shown him from the NWT the way Jeremiah statements coinside with 2Kings which interlocks with 2Chronicles and ties in with Daniel.

  But it just doesnt matter. I can tell in his expresions he just does not want to deal with this subject when pushed.

  I keep assuring him I want these dates to work for him. He continues to press me in that I should move on and just accept these dates given by the society.

  So yes chronology is alive and well. So sad.

  i got ahold of the latest watchtower cd-rom (2001) from my grandmother, who is still an active jw.

  i've added below a few direct qoutes from various publications... in one instance below the watchtower says that the bginning of christ's thousand-year reign will begin in 1975 with noted exception in error of "weeks or months, not years" then in 1975 they say that "it does us no good to speculate" on the date his reign will start!

  because after his creation adam lived some time during the ?sixth day,?

  Nice to see a young man look through the piles of propaganda to discern what seasoned Dubs are absolutely blind to.

  I was eleven in ' 75 and do recall the hype. Kinda silly now.

  but i'd really like to shake the foundations of some of my more zealot family members who 'still believe'

  Be careful not to distant yourself with trying to show family members the errors of the Tower. Take it slow. Lest you be viewed as a "agent of the evil slave class"
