I'm new and I just stumbled across the "checks" to be dropped into the donation boxes, etc. Has anyone completed any "covert" operations? How did it go?

Thanks, Merry! I can't believe they tracked that sister down - first, they had to find someone who knew her name, knew her congregation, find someone who knew her by appearance, find someone who knew where she was sitting, probably point her out to someone else, then interrupt her before she made it out of the colliseum that day. Unbelievable. And I can't believe no one saw Richie putting up all those signs. Anyone can participate, simply print off a check of your choice and mail to your local JW branch office (address provided on link).
I for one also enjoyed depositing my "contribution".
This is very easy to do if you are still attending the spiritual mush meals known as assemblies and conventions:
- Print check
- Fold check to hide seditious content
- Place check in contribution box
- Imagine the furrowed brows at headquaters

Some of us sent notices to the local media in convention towns, but I never heard anything about it. My local media didn't do stories on it AFAIK. I think it was Brandon that was coordinating this, but I deleted the emails so I'm not sure. Did anyone have any success with getting the media to do stories? I put up some small silent lambs things around my town but they've all been taken down.
