What are you like when you don't get enough sleep?

    I feel cranky all day if I don't get enough sleep. I need 9 hours, but usually average around 5-6. Any less than that and I can't function. edited since I'm too tired to spell properly.

    Usually I go to bed at 10 get up at 6h30am, so I sleep about 8.5 hours everyday. Sometimes I sleep 9 to 9,5 hours a day, so even if sleep only 3 or 4 hours once in a while, it won't affect me because I have lots of accumulated rest in me.

    I usually need six or seven hours a night. Eight is nice, but unusual, and I can manage a couple and survive, and even extended period on five (though it builds up a debt). It doesn't usually affect my mood adversely - I'm generally too buoyant.

    If I stay up past 2am I get my second wind and have difficulty switching off. I'm a night owl.

    Don't cross me if I've not had food, though. I get uber irritable

    I usually need at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep a night. However, I rarely get that much, and almost certainly it's interrupted sleep....I hear every little creak and noise in the house....the train....a cat, or raccoon!!!!! Then I'm very sleepy, and by Friday, I'm a whipped unit...

    I can be really cranky if I don't keep myself in check. I sleep 10 to 13 hours per night with my FMS and CFS crap. Then I usually take a 2 to 4 hour nap 3 or 4 times per week. It's an escape from pain and mental fatigue.

    It depends on what I have to do that day, normally prior late Nov 2004 I only slept about 4/5 hrs per day and I was fine, now at times I feel like an old man and have to take a nap once in awhile. but my norm is 5/6 now and i feel fine. I love waking up in the early morning hours, its quiet, no else up, and no one to bother me. sleep depravation can be a killer tho. One time I had to work from 6am until midnight for 152 days, everyday i had to do 1 hour of exercise that was between 12 midnight to 6 a.m. in the morning, then shower and somehow relax enough to sleep, talk about being dog tire when that mission was over, came home said hi to the wife, took care of my husbandly duties (fun) and went to sleep for 17 hours. Got up had 5 beers, 3 rum and cokes and sleep another 6 hours all and all it was very refreshing especially the beer and rum and coke.
