Think of the amount of feed required. With the mammals and bird alone the time to feed them, given that each animal would require a minimum of 10 minuites attention to get the food to them, is aproximatly: 14506 * 10 / 8 = 18132.5 = at least 12 days per feeding round.

As long as you're talking "power-of-God" type stuff, you could make an argument that God helped sustain them so that they didn't hunger. Hell, maybe he put them all in suspended animation. To believe the ark story at the minimum, the animals would have to already be changing their eating habits or some species would have gone extinct the first time the big cats got hungry.

And then what about the plant life? Surely most of it would have been drowned too? Six months at the bottom of a seabed should kill most land-loving plants. What did all of these animals and people eat after they landed? Did they all just sit around waiting for some stored seeds to sprout? And when did the predators go back to being predators? You have to give those species lower on the food-chain time to breed and build up a population before they can become food. Or did they all scavenge on carcuses that the fish didn't eat?

But if God was going to go to all that trouble, why didn't he just do a "rapture" type of thing with the animals, then wipe the earth and then pop them back?
