As a kid I naturally ran a higher temperature than "normal". So when I didn't feel good, or didn't want to be bothered with school, I feined sick, went to the school nurse who took my temp and called home "Brenda is sick, she's running a mild temperature!" mom " Brenda's temperature is normally slightly elevated, according to her pediatrician, she doesn't need to come home" nurse "our regulations say that if she has an elevated temperature, she is sick and needs to go home". And I went home. Yipee! But then my mom made me either go to bed, or clean house.....

Mine made me lay outside with blankets on lounge chairs because the fresh air would cure me, haha. I almost never faked being ill because I hated being home. I always wanted to stay after school just to avoid being with Molly Hatchet.
