Help! help! help...my 'puter is trashed...

I don't know what happened...

But my 'puter just got hammered! I got some kind of virus or spyware or SOMETHING...

I have used several "Anti-Spyware" programs to try and "fix" it...to no avail...I've had Microsoft Anti-Spyware since it came out, and it's up to date.

I tried to install Norton 2004 Internet Security... can't even get it fully loaded. I downloaded McAfee Security System...ran it...

My 'puter is STILL running (barely) super slow and I still can't my "homepage" to pop up (comcast)... I'm at a loss...

My browser is hijacked...even though my "scans" claim it's clean...

The damn home page that had taken over is "oneclicksearches.com"...I can't get rid of it...it is basically a "Spyware"...offering to sell me protection from "Spyware"

I feel like a hostage....PLEASE HELP... if you can...( it keep me from posting on JWD...gasp!)

you have a trojan.

the first thing i would do is burn all your most important files (documents, pics, music etc) to some discs. back your important data up, because you may have to reformat your computer.

after you have done this, download hijackthis, and see if you can clean those nasties off your computer. this is a dangerous program, because it shows the good and the bad, so be carefull of what you delete. http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip

if this doesnot work, you can also try an online virus scan called: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

but if these don't work, and you can't load them, then i am surprised you can even get online to read this message. but, anyways, you may have to reformat, which sucks, but it happens.

u/d check your browser add-ons. At the bottom of the opened page you will see a beige margin with small boxes to the left of the word internet and the globe.

Left click on the third box from the left and it will show your browser addons.

Look through the list and disable any that are not from a recognized known (freindly) program.

This may help.

If it does not then I have some other things to try but one at a time.

I tried T.s's suggestion...no luck...wouldn't even let it load...

I'm surprised I can even get on JWD too...I'm on Safe Mode...just to get here...
