An apostafest, anewme...is a gathering of x-JW's or supporters of x-JW's who get together to share stories or just celebrate their FREEDOM from the Watchtower. They are usually regional...and a heck of a lot of fun. If there is going to be one in CA...it would be listed in this forum. So actually, all an apostafest is is a big (or small) party for people who have been victimized by the Watchtower. It's good to meet people face to face who have gone through many of the same things you have leaving the JW's and hearing how they cope. It's not a big pity party...more of a celebration of getting freed from slavery to JWism!!! Try one...you'll like it!

Auntie hadenuf: Great party, I had a blast despite the power outage and I know everyone else did too, just wish we got to chat more...hmmm, next time. I wish you got to relax a bit more and enjoy the party as much as everyone else did. Tree of Woe rocked the house, you have two talented fun gentelmen for sons, you should be proud! And thank you so much for being a great host, Gary too!
Everyone else: It was a pleasure to meet all of you. JH: Such a great thing for you to travel all that way to get some upbuilding spiritual association, no really it was nice to meet you and we all appreciated the dedication it took to come all the way down from Canada. Buttlight is a friggin riot, tons o' fun to hang out with, and her and Brooke together are like too much trouble: a barrel of laughs. Stillaexjwelder: also too funny. Wanderlustguy: hope to see you in vegas. Also awesome you guys traveled from so far away. Blondie and Irreverent: It was so great to finally meet you guys, it was nice chatting and hope to see you again sometime!
