Oh you guys are too much!! Thank you so much for the pics Butt!! I just didn't have the energy to take many pictures (boo hoo) and thus doubly appreciated your superb camera work!
What a day! We lost our power at 2 pm Saturday following one heck of a wind storm (I swear a tornado went through Point), and we didn't get it back until 5 pm Sunday! Can you say BUMMER? Yup, you can. Though I was mortified that the day turned into a hostesses nightmare...all those who attended made me feel so much better by assuring me that they had a wonderful time, despite the chaos and crappy conditions. It's hard to have about 30 people over without electricity and flush toilets (though we were able to use buckets of water to flush down most of the deposits in our toilet). Everyone was a good sport and I hope that the day was memorable in more ways than just the weather and adversity!
I am so thankful to have met so many kind, generous and intelligent souls. Though it did not turn out quite like I had it pictured in my mind, I think overall it was a success. How couldn't it be with such wonderful people like buttlight, JH, stillajwxelder, Blondie, Irreverent, Peaceful Pete and econaut, Dustin & Danielle, talley, wanderlustguy, devinsmom, whyamihere, the guys from the band, Tree of Woe, potleg and all the others (I can't even rember their names, sorry)?
Hopefully. we can have a 2nd Annual Apostacheesebeerfest next year in OCTOBER...which will decrease the chances of tornado's, loss of electricity and abnormally hot & humid days. This time I will be better prepared and equipped to host such a wonderful event. There is nothing in the world like meeting the people you have come to know and love on this forum face to face.
Thank you everyone for putting up with the less than desirable conditions and making the event a day to remember. I love you all and think that the best thing that ever happened to me was leaving the JW's and finding the support and love on this forum (well, besides marrying my husband, having my two sons, getting Brookie as a daughter and having my sweet grandchildren). Also, a special thanks to my beloved Brookiepooh and my son Austin...for sneaking into my house while Gary, Tristan and I were out for breakfast Sunday morning and cleaning up almost all of the post-party debris. I don't think I could have handled it without electricity and air-conditioning...being the hottest day of the year yet.
Big hug to all the antendee's...I hope you REALLY did have a great time and aren't just saying it to make me feel better!

I just came back from my trip....I left last night at 9pm from Wisconsin, and just arrived here 1950 km further.....after a 20 hour drive....non stop, didn't eat, didnt drink, didnt wash.....Now, if you excuse me for a while, I'll go buy a 24 case of beer and order a pizza and take a long shower..... I really loved meeting everyone at the party, and I would go back anytime.... but hopefully when it would be less hot, or when I'll get an AC car in september.....
