Thank you for sharing.......I came back to this site to the last three pictures. They were all wonderful, particularly the last with all of the couples!

You only took 200 pictures?????? What's the matter the store ran out of film or your memory card to small???

    Legolas,

You are such a brat, rubbing it in about the AC! LOL, luv ya!

Desiree (oops, is that her name, or did I 'skim' the thread and cluck it up!) is a sparkling young womyn! What a beautiful dress!

Wow, womyn, you must be so happy to give your gurl this fun, and do you know how much it means? Hey, I do, having missed it. Good for you, and I'm so happy you will get to have these special times with your daughter. She is truly blessed to have a mom like you.

I'm a bit confused (so what else is new at my age!). I was a baptised JW in 1969, went to my Senior Prom with a JW date and the after Prom Party thrown by one of the kids in my graduating class. My sister (13 years younger than me) went to her Senior Prom (I made her dress) and a week later went to her boyfriend's (he got baptised that summer and they are now married and yes I made her dress for that one also). I left the area and started to fade around '76 (still read literature etc.). I guess things changed after that and the kids weren't allowed to go any more???? I know now the congo where I grew up (my mother and sister still pioneer there) and the surrounding congos have a formal dance every May for all of the teenagers.....to make up for not going to their Prom!

Great Shades of Footloose...is it the Prom or the association they don't like?

Your daughter, her friends and their escorts looked gorgeous and I'm sure had a great time and did nothing out of line! And I don't think 200 pictures were enough! Next big occassion you might want to double the number!

Thanks TS! I'm sorry about rubbing in the ac! I just went through too many hot summer's that I said I wouldn't do it again this summer> But don't worry we'll pay for it when the light bill comes then we will really be crying!!!

Lego! I'm only being silly! I am sooooo hooootttt. We are not getting our usual evening fog/breezes, and I am spoiled. The heat is a but much right now ...

I hope the heat is not too bad on the Island. Oh, I have to PM you, lol, too funny, I realized that we prolly know a very 'righteous' couple in common, that is oh, such the when-we-were-young hypocrites! hahaha, I know, it's kinda not-nice, but it burns my a$$ that they are accepted and I am shunned, when they did MUCH worse when we were kids ... lol ... not the ones we already know we have in common, but a NEW, MR. and MRS. ELDER couple! Oh, ick! I am still a bit angry, I guess, and it's not who I like to be ... to want to rub it in like this, but you understand .. I hope.

Talesin, got to Rona/Revy. They have A/C for under $200. They're a bit difficul to install (for example, I had to use some electrical tape and duct tape with mine, but it works grand, except for that grinding noise every once and a while).
