I was 100% against this Eminent Domain business, especially to put in MORE of the same types of stores and put people out of their homes. (There's a big to-do about it in this area).
After reading this post and the comments, it definetly has some good possibilities after all!

I was completely amazed that the U.S. Supreme Court voted 5-4 on this issue. But, then I began thinking, hell the Scientologists (killers also) down in Florida, the JWs in Brooklyn, the.... Often times there can be humor in madness.

Hearing about this on the News made me very sad for the underdog. I am such a big hater of injustice, and seeing pictures of the Supreme Court members sitting there so all-important in their robes, preparing to go on Summer Break when they had just dealt a death blow to several small businesses-----
Needless to say it made me seethe in anger. My jaded mind wondered what would prompt this horrendous decision, or more importantly, WHO was going to benefit from it!!! Certainly not the little guy who struggles to pay taxes and keep his little business afloat.
Admittedly, I am not "up" on the ins & outs of politics, so there MUST be a reason that this passed (barely) but it makes again---the little guy---just more vulnerable to lose it all than ever before! And THAT makes me upset!
