After leaving the JWs, I was quite disgusted with doG, for a variety of reasons. For a couple of years, I chose not to think about it, though I still lived in fear of It and Harmaggedon. Then, I started to investigate other faiths and doctrines (or whatever one chooses to call them), and read some philosophy. My disgust with doG quickly turned to unbelief. The next thing I knew, I was an agnostic. By the time I was in my late 20s, ten years out, I was an atheist, and remain so to this day. For me, it was a natural progression.

I enjoy learning about other's religions and beliefs. It appears that the mainstream religions are all based on the same half-dozen or so principles. And how did I form that opinion? From reading Mother Teresa's examination of the subject. Jean Vanier has some very interesting views on good/evil and spirituality that I really like. I still love to read philosophy, and anything else I can get my hands on.

Religious beliefs? I have none, and don't feel the need for them. There is no hole in my heart that needs to be filled by a belief system and I have no desire to worship a divine entity.

I am not an atheist. Doubt I ever will become one. I just no longer believe in any type of organized religion. My belief in god is very real.

I have no use for religion and don't consider myself to be a spiritual person. I don't believe in god, demons, hell, or any kind of after life. I believe this is the only life I have and I am going to enjoy it while I am here on this beautiful earth. I am not going to waste my time worshiping some imaginary murdering psychopath sky daddy. Life is too short.

KenUK - if there were a god, i just can't believe god got there by accident either. Who made him/her/it? You attempt to use logic, but then choose to suspend it midstream. If your logic is sound, it should be able to follow that sequence to its final conclusion, the irrufutable primary, the axiom.
