    Hi Kls,

I said I'd let you know about the buzzards at your house from your thread http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/88556/1.ashx

So here goes. I think there is significance in animal totems so I thought I'd open this up for discussion too.

The Buzzard is part of the scavenger bird family, and principally they symbolise death and rebirth (renewal) This isn't necessarily a physical death, but the death of something such as a stage of life. It is clearing what isn?t needed to make way for the new. For this reason the buzzard has been called the Golden Purifyer.

In particular, look at a three month period to make a transition between the death of something and the new phase. There is a coming time when you will be noticed more for what you do than for how you appear.

Since the buzzard is able to see "thermals" from high in the sky, this bird can also signify your own increasing sensitivity to the spiritual. In particular, you may develop a uric vision (the ability to see the energy field around living things). You are moving away from the mundane and distributing your energy in order to make way for this new phase (and the mundane has been weighing you down in that regard so something has to be cleared). In particular you might want to develop by using aromatherapy, in your home and on yourself (the buzzard has a great sense of smell ;) ).

It is also not unusual to have changes in your digestive system ? foods that you once liked might not be right for you now. You may have changes in your eliminative processes (have your bowels checked if needed, be careful what you eat)

You need to know that any suffering of the immediate (to do with this spiritual clearout) is temporary and for a higher purpose. No matter how difficult things seem to be, rescue is as imminent.

Would they be synonymous with crows, within that belief system?

    Toe,

Buzzards or Ravens? Ravens are in the same family as Crows, of course. The most noteable thing about the buzzard in my opinion is that it is a scavenger and eats what is already dead.

    What would your totems be?
