Shawshank Redemption--a great film, great acting, great story and based on a short story from Stephen King.

Thought I should post this just in case getbusyliving doesn't post on this thread.

Hi, first time poster, so please forgive any etiquette faux pas.

Given all the coverage of the Terri Schiavo case recently, I was moved to pull out my copy of Lorenzo's Oil and re-view it. Has Susan Sarandon and Nick Nolte, very life affirming drama with great lighting, great soundtrack, and excellent cinematography.

I think the two funniest movies of the last decade or so are O, Brother! Where Art Thou? with George Clooney and, believe it or not, Stuart Saves His Family by Al Franken. Stuart's family is dysfunctional enough to actually be compared to JW families. I laughed until I cried.

Oh, and I second the person who recommended Snatch, which was hilarious also.
