lots of things make me happy, mostly small things - like enjoying a cup of coffee, together with someone I love (Viv for instance)

Feeling the seawind on my face

Getting a telephone call from a dear friend, an unexpected card.... telephone calls on my birthday from old -riends-moved-away, or the card (years ago) that was telling me "happy birthday" even when you don't celebrate birthdays at all.....

and best of all: when you realize that your daughter did'nt get injured after she wrecked her car..... (which by the way has been repeared and she is going to collect the damned thing this morning).

ohhh, you just made me homesick for the coast! I grew up on or near the Oregon coast (we moved ALOT) and that's just something you never get out of your blood. I would just love to walk on the beach again!!!

Effervescent - Alaska does have a bit chilly coasts I think, not the same......

All off my live I've been living near the coast, born in a suburb of the The Hague, from our windows we could see the dunes... Then we moved a bit more to the south: living at the edge of the dunes, today living more inland - half an hour from the sea, but bird's-eye vieuw maybe 7 km.

When I think of moving, it must be within reach of the sea.....
