I have no suggestions really, I'm only here to say congrats to you. Part of me misses having a real wedding ceremony. Although getting married in Vegas was how I always knew it would be (and it WAS exciting), the little girl in me misses/missed having the whole she-bang with cake and bridesmaids etc.

That cake is gorgeous.

I second the David's Bridal suggestion. A young friend got hers for $100, and it was gorgeous. They had it marked at $250, but it needed cleaning, so she talked them into lowering the price for her. They got married on a beach in Florida, then went on a honeymoon cruise. It wasn't all that great though..............she said the cruise was all senior citizens except them. There is a David's Bridal by Linens and Things in Lynnwood.

Lynndale Park has some nice, woodsy areas, and you can rent the covered areas for a reception too. I should say reserve, because it didn't cost us anything to reserve them for congregation picnics. Edmonds park has been used for weddings too.

It sad, seeing that I live in Edmonds, that I've never been to Edmonds park!!! My soon to be s-i-l suggested that as well. We're thinking of a back yard wedding at her house, so we could hold the reception there as well, but the guest list has turned out being a might bigger than I thought it would! Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to have my honey take me to Davids Bridal, it sounds like the best deal around! I could modify something from there.
