Like an earlier poster, I thought that this must be a fake scam - Surelynot! , I thought...

But It does seem to check out...., I wonder how it is supposed to sit with the recent comments about the evils of the interner...Also, thinking back to my days as a cong secretary , we just hated the idea of the publishers sending money direct to the "Society", if they all do that- how is the local congo going to repay its loan for the Kingdom Hall? Also it means that local elders have no knowlege of the level of donations and thus no control..

Anyway, this was always the attitude in the past

if they could get away with it theyed say postage prices are too high and command the elder body to use this site instead of mailing any donations. in the name of simplfing the work. I am sorta glad they have this site. Shows they are going in the right direction. I mean they must really trust the internet to accept money from it.

OMG this could be abuse what if apostates donate money! I am sure the wts would give it back wanting no association with apostates. Oh wait I forgot I am in the same universe I was in yesterday never mind.

XP, good idea. A few apostates should donate 5 pounds each. Then they should write a letter to WTS admitting the fact and explaining that Jehovah will pour his anger on the organization if they don't return the money immediately. (Joshua 7:20-21) :)

This doesn't surprise me at all. They function on money, and I'm surprised it took them this long to create a way to make donations through the internet, let alone the credit card machines at the conventions.

I got on the site and was trapped, just like a porn site I accidentally went to totally unaware that such smut was out there..I have it bookmarked if you don't believe me.

Jim and Tammy, Benny Hinn, Jimmy Swaggert and Jehovah God all looking for handouts and using Bill Gates to get them. If Russell could have predicted this..that would have been something.
