Well, I just can not stay away from this subject. IQ tests are designed to measure general mental ability. They probably should be called tests of academic aptitude and achievement. These tests do not measure everyting, nor were they disigned to do do. These tests are the highest preditors of job suceess, as is shown in a research publication by Hunter and Schmidt, in Psycological Bullatin, 1998. If you don't believe me, look it up.

Gumby (from an other thread) : Intelligence comes in many types in different types of people, and many of these types are not recogonised as intelligent by those who THINK they are intelligent.......Did that make sense?
It doesn't help to try to rate people at any age - it's a risk to under or over estimate them (with all the consequences related big or not)
