That's great Xena! We can't wait to see you again and meet Bubbles. Zoe will be thrilled to have a girl to play with!

You should work on that scuba re-cert. I'm happy to watch Bubbles for you while you experience the "crisp" waters of Puget Sound. Ross will be renting the gear, you can too. It'll be fine with the right suit. I will be on the beach with the kids and a hot latte from the nearby coffee shop.

I'm just bummed it's still four months away

I couldn't care less what the dubs will be doing on Christmas Day (or any other, for that matter) but I'd love to run up to the pass for a half-day or night skiing session.

Oh but wouldn't it be fun to go Christmas day and all have on big buttons that read "The WBTS is a snare and a racket"??? Oh yes, nothing but JWs and apostates as far as the eye can see. I don't ski but I would love to see that! lololol

    Xena,

Shoot Steve I might have to check into getting re-certified for scuba....although I'm not really sure about diving in ice water

By all means! I just PM'd Megadude, I hope he'll join us as well. I did my first cold water dive here, after a 15 year layoff, as part of a PADI "refresher" dive. Thirty minutes class review, and a one hour dive in the park with a divemaster. It was great! That was in December 2001, and it was 28 degrees outside. Much warmer under water. After your face goes numb, you won't give it a second thought.

After the dive, we can bring home Schezuan (sp?) Chinese or East Indian food to warm up. Hot & Sour soup, Lamb Roghan Josh, Tandoori grilled meats, yum. Just try to stay cold after that!

    Sherry,

I think you're on to something there, Sherry. That would shake them up a bit! How about hats, too, emblazoned with that blood-red "Apostate" logo? We could start our own tradition.

By the way, we're going up camping this weekend, to the same area where I brought in the 10 lb. Steelhead on Father's Day. We've been landing some nice Dolly Varden up there lately. I landed one a few weeks ago, 7 lbs., 26 inches. They're following the Chinook Salmon upstream as they spawn, trying to rob their eggs. Rhys and I watched last week as a bright female, 25-30lbs, prepped her gravel bed for eggs. She was in the company of several males, and we saw them cloud the water over the gravel bed with their seed. What a fantastic world we live in!

Ahh, you make it sounds so romantic

So is skiing on the agenda, now, too?

Is this considered romance in Scotland? Dating must be interesting over there...

    Oh, bother-----

Just a mere 8 months AFTER I leave beautiful Seattle for Alabama, Rachel and Steve throw their very first apostofest. Now a mere 8 months (give or take 1 or 2 months) before I move BACK to beautiful Seattle, they are planning another fab sounding 'fest. My timing sucks.

Please don't stop party planning--eventually I'll be in the right place at the right time.

Well RN, looks like we need to throw another sometime late Summer 2005?

I will give you a "W" on timing and we'll expect better next time.

I'll humbly accept that "W" and vow to improve.

Newly single, hating Alabama and with a teenage daughter who wants to go the the U, we are planning to come back late spring/early summer of next year. We can hardly wait to start our new adventure. We loved Seattle and hated to leave, but you gotta have work!

Looking forward to finally meeting the Pacific NW ex's.
