Yeah...I don't post very much. But I try to pop in a couple of times a week to at least see what's going on here. It's been too long since we've seen everyone. Although December 26th is still aways off yet, it's never too early to plan a little apostafest.... It will be nice to see you and your family again. We're looking forward to hearing what everyone's been up to these days.

So, the skiing thing. Any more thoughts on this?
I'd like to learn how to break a hip gracefully!

    Ross,

From what you've described in the past, your regular fitness regimen will have you in good shape. Keep that up, with additional focus on your quadriceps.

You'll quickly pick up the technique of basic turns and stopping after a few runs down the beginner's slope, and then spend the rest of the session on wide-open intermediate slopes. I've never seen a beginner who didn't have a great time.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for clear weather, the mountain pass is a beautiful place.

Here's something you will see when you fly into Seattle, if the weather is clear. It is Mount Ranier, almost 15,000 feet tall, and might even be visible above the clouds if it's a cloudy day. I took this one from the airplane, taking off from Seattle.

Hopefully you'll get to see the mountain at least once while you are here. You never know in Seattle.
