sorry...anyway, she put it off back then but is asking again now and her dad also asked me. Anyone have any questions for my list? I also wanted to require her to study two books with me.

There are so many new ones on the board that I haven't "met" so here is "nice to meet you and I'm glad you're here" and a plea for help from a mom who needs it.

If you read everything that the WT says about baptism, you'll find that it's merely a show for everyone else. That is, it's you're inner decision that's important, not the baptism itself. So why bother getting baptised at all?

Here's a very good reason for your daughter to wait till she's 18: "As regards the alleged involvement of children the applicant association [The Watchtower Society] submits that children cannot become members of the association but only participate, together with their parents, in the religious activities of the community."

This quote is from a WT lawyer regarding Bulgaria.

    EUROPEAN COMMISSION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

    Application No. 28626/95

    Khristiansko Sdruzhenie "Svideteli na Iehova"

    (Christian Association Jehovah's Witnesses)

    against

    Bulgaria

    REPORT OF THE COMMISSION

    (adopted on 9 March 1998)
