Robdar, yes you are right. I shouldn't have called you a sore loser. I am just so tired of this, for last four years. Yet people like you won't take the stand and say that the Constitution is wrong. If you folks want to change it, go through the proper course of amending the document.

No need to call me a sore loser just because I want to see justice done. For your information, if the outcome had been reversed and under the same circumstances, I would have kicked up a fuss.

Somehow, I just don't believe that statement. Maybe I read you wrong, but I just don't believe it.

I wont say that the Constitution is wrong because it isn't. Don't keep changing the subject from electoral college to popular vote and back.

Somehow, I just don't believe that statement. Maybe I read you wrong, but I just don't believe it.

For your information, I'm an independent.

Believe what you want because I don't give a rat's ass what you believe. And if I did give a rat's ass, it still wouldn't change your opinion.

Edited to add: Isn't what you are really saying by your above statement is that you don't care what happened because your side won? I believe that you are judging me by your own standards.

    I'm not. You are.

Edited to add: I hope you're not one of the persons that will be running around, if Bush is re-elected, stating how he will run for a third term since he "wasn't elected, but appointed" to his first term.

I read a book on this Saturday at Borders Books, and laugh so loud that people stopped.

No, I'm not. You disregarded the electoral college by mentioning the recount which is equivalent to the popular vote. You are merely trying to distract from the fact that you were wrong regarding the re-count and who won the election.

So, you mention the popular vote on one post and then when it's pointed out that you are wrong, you mention the electoral college. Then you talk crap about me and others who are not pleased with what happened as wanting to do away with the electoral college. My aren't you full of negative judgments for those who feel that the 2000 elections were a travesty? Of course, you don't care about what happened just so long as your guy won.

As stated in my post above, I am an independent and fiercly proud of it. What happened in the 2000 elections is a joke--it doesn't matter which way you dissect it.

You must think that you're my daddy. What does it matter to you?

You will probably be one of those people who will want Bush to run a third time saying how he wasn't elected but apointed to his first term.

Ok, Robdar. Take a deep breath, and try reading and thinking.

    1. The winner of the popular vote in each state recieves the electoral vote for the Elctoral College.

    2. The candidate with 270 or electoral votes wins the Electoral College.

    3. Gore's camp attempted, repeatedly, to have military ballots excluded from the count.

    4. Gore lost the popular vote, I haven't seen any objective evidence showing me otherwise.

    5. Until someone shows me objective and incontrovertable eveidence that Gore actually won Florida, my mind is made up.

If you want to hold onto your fantasy about Gore winner, then by all means more power to you.

    LABD,

You seem to have a hard time following the advice that you give others. So, let's repeat your post and apply it back to you. Here we go:

Take a deep breath, and try reading and thinking.

    1. The winner of the popular vote in each state recieves the electoral vote for the Elctoral College.

*That's true and Gore won the popular vote in Florida. *

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/US_election_race/Story/0,2763,430306,00.html

    2. The candidate with 270 or electoral votes wins the Electoral College.

    3. Gore's camp attempted, repeatedly, to have military ballots excluded from the count.

    * Republicans attempted, repeatedly, to prevent the ballots from being re-counted*

    4. Gore lost the popular vote, I haven't seen any objective evidence showing me otherwise.

*Nor, did you bother to check the links I gave you--Showing how closed minded you are.*

    5. Until someone shows me objective and incontrovertable eveidence that Gore actually won Florida, my mind is made up.

You finally tell the truth: Your mind is made up. But you lie when mentioning the qualifiers that you included in your sentence.

If you want to hold onto your fantasy about Gore winner, then by all means more power to you.

You haven't offered a shred of evidence showing that Bush won and Gore didn't. I however, have offered you lots of links that shows the contrary. You ignore them so, it is your fantasy that we are talking about. You attack me instead of addressing the issues. You can't discredit me and so you talk down to me and attempt to distract from the issues. It doesn't matter how much you ignore the evidence and keep rpeating the same tired, worn out fantasies--it won't make them facts.

Nope. If Bush attempts to run for a third term, granted that he even wins a second term, which I don't think he will. I will be the first one to denounce him. Frame this and place it on your monitor.

    Robdar,

Here you go. This is from CNN. About as biased against the Republicans as you can get.

    http://www.cnn.com/2000/ALLPOLITICS/stories/12/13/got.here/index.html

Please notice that the GOP was attempting to stop repeated recounts of votes. Again I ask, how many times do you need to recount to get an official tally?

Also notice that about 25,000 absentee ballots from heavily GOP counties were on the verge of being tossed out on 12/6/00.

It's funny, that on this page, only when officials attempted to "read" the voters intention did Gore win.

Both you and I know that there is more than enough information to substantiate both sides of the issue on this. I think your wrong; you think I'm wrong, and around we go. The issue at hand is that you claim that my mind is closed. I say that your mind is closed...around we go again.

Either way no one wins...I offer a stalemate.

    LABD,

The first link that you offered was from December 2000--long before the recount was started or finished. I can't tell what year the 2nd link is from but appears to be from 2000 also--or at least offers info gathered in 2000.

I appreciate your offer but, stalemate not accepted.
