wonder if he is frightened by the newspaper, or the fact that he has wasted his life serving the WT and now he is old and Armageddon still hasn't come.

Maybe he's reading about another molestation case among the witnesses and thinking "Ha! Glad I got away with it for as long as I did. Better go prepare my public talk for Sunday." (o.k....that was tacky...sorry...lol)

The Garden Theater, on the North Side of Pittsburgh, is where Russell gave many of his early sermons. It is now a gay porn theater, the seediest in town. Even many of my gay friends won't go there - it is the home of the unhealthiest lifestyle in history...

    CZAR

What about one of my bible commentaries? Definitely too 'Babylon the Great'. WHY City Fan - Bethel is full of worldly commentaries - though did not a Governing Body member once famously say -as quoted by Ray Franz in C o C - having worldly commentaries was like sucking at the tits of Babylon The Great -- many elders I know use worldy commentaries - William Barclay and others

What the Hades is with that password, Elsewhere? Did you generate a random guid or something?

lol... yeah... I like to use GUIDs for passwords.

The only reason I put a password on that is to prevent people from Hot Linking (using the images on their own web site). Basically it is a deturant to keep good little JWs from showing the brochure to their friends... think about it... how many good little JWs do you know who would be willing to enter the username "FormidableApostate"

Hmmm. Wasn't the influenza epidemic in 1918--at the close of the war?

I don't know how the W.T. can use the Spanish Influenza as a tool to show end time predictions. There were many other plagues before this, and we're still here.

My findings on the Spanish Influenza...Reasons for large scale deaths.

    First major global travel.

No medical history on this flu.

No medical injections to counter or give immunity to it.

    Disease not isolated.

No world health organization at this time.

No quarantine measures were in place because of little known knowledge of treatments.

Outbrakes traced as far back as 412 B.C.

    North American Indians.....

Diseases killed 90 percent of many Indian tribe populations, and substantially weakened others.

note: Keep in mind that populations were much lower in earlier times so the ratio of deaths must be taken into account.

1890 census... Only 200,000 Indians left. Wouldn't that be a better start of the "end times" prediction date?

How about the Black Plague, or Bubonic Plague? (1347 to 1351)

Was a bacteria spread by fleas, from rats. Small cities became ghost towns, large cities lost 1/2 to 2/3 rds. of thier population. Started in Constantinople, spread to Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, Marseilles, then London, Ireland, Scandinavia, and central europe. . Disease made worse by crowded cities.

Reasons for spreading include..... Poor sanitary conditions, no quarantine measures even know about at that time. Enhanced by religious superstitions, ei; blaming plague as God's punishment to man.

But, as I said, we're still here.

    Elsewhere,

I wish to thank you for the download you provided. But, man-o-man, what a long password that is! And since copy and paste wasn't allowed for the password, the consarned thing had to be typed in. Plus, I had to type it in TWICE--once in order to view the brochure and then again to be able to download it.

Although there was much said in the broshure that I still agree with, the main *problem* I found with it is the teaching that the heavenly kingdom is ALREADY ruling--which of course is false.

Thanks for all the trouble you went to man.

    Schizm
