OK, folks. Three weeks left. I'd like to join y'all for at least one night of "upbuilding Christian fellowship". (Yes, that's my code phrase for getting approval from Mrs. O for out of town travel. )
How many others still plan to come to Indy?
I checked the Indy Convention & Visitors Association web site this evening, and most of the downtown hotels are booked up for the night of 7/30, and quite a few are booked for 7/31 also. I guess we'll need to find a designated driver or a taxi.
I can probably make Indianna - so remind me again so I do not have to read every post on the thread - Date, Time, City, Venue

Will July 30 - Aug 1 work for the rest of you? I can't stay the night of Jul 31, but would love to meet everyone Friday nite & can spend most of the day Saturday. I just need to be on the road by 6 pm. Looks like these guys have rooms available that weekend, and they're within stumbling distance of downtown. Sounds good to me...I thought Indy was four hours from here, but my hubby said it was only about two hours away..so even better...

I was originally thinking of a Friday - Sunday fest, but now I have to be back home by Saturday night. I'm now thinking dinner Friday night, hit a club or two, and then bop around one of the festivals together on Saturday. Y'all can keep on aposta-partying Saturday night, but I do need to scoot by about 6 pm. There's quite a bit going on in Indy that weekend, including:

The downtown hotels seem to be filled (at least accourding to the online reservations link from the Visitors' Bureau), but I found a place just north of downtown for $69 per night. According to the web site .... "Renaissance Tower features 80 elegant Victorian studio suites with solid cherry four-poster beds, bay windows and fully equipped kitchens.
