I could come up on Thanksgiving weekend. That would give me time to drive up to St. Louis. I used to live in southern Missouri (near Table Rock lake) so I'd love to show my children where I used to live.

Any other weekend, for me at least, would be difficult.

Well I live in KC, MO so KC would be best for me but St Louis also sounds nice. My life is so up in the air right now that I have no idea where or what I'll be doing by November but if I'm around I'd love to meet some ex borg. Resistance is NOT futile!

Well, lets definately see what we can figure out. If it is in St. Louis and its Thanksgiving weekend, I can plan it cause I am only 15 min. from St. Louis. If it is any other weekend and any other location, I can help plan it but prolly could only come for a day or two. Lets try to round up all that can come and what time of year is best and see what we come up with. Would Illinois be a better spot for some? Lets see how many want St. Louis or what other locations we come up with. If we start now, we can prolly get something pulled together before the end of the year!

Chris, whatever we decide on, I hope ya'll can come!

Welcome to the Board! And we would love to meet you I am sure. There is talk of doing it closer to Chicago which is fine but I will not be able to help with that or attend as long. And if I fly there (as it is 6 1/2 hours from me and I would spend what time off I have driving to it) is there someone who will be able to do airport pick-ups??? I really wanna do this!

Oddly, I plan to be in Texas at Thanksgiving. Is my timing whacked, or what? October would be better for me.

OK-Here's a plan.......How about Louisville Kentyucky In August. Louisville is a fun city, Centrally located for most of us mid-westerners, they have BREWERIES-we can take a tour! Fun nightlife, and August may be warm, but will be before school starts up, and things start getting hectic for the holidays. I will check out and see what other fun attractions are there, but the Breweries seem to be by far-(at least to me) to be the best!!! And I hear it is as great Party-Town. Let's get something together soon! And I could help call places to find Lodging, and see about discounts, etc.......

Good idea, OC. Indianapolis might also be a good option. There are micro-brew restaurants downtown, plus a great bar/blues club called The Slippery Noodle ... plus, it's a couple of hours closer for those coming from the north (i.e., Chicago, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc.) for those coming from Missouri, Indy is a straight shot east on I-70, or straight west on I-70 from Ohio.

Dan-o, Yes, that is another great Idea! I love Indy, and it is a fun city too, and would even be closer! Let's see what everyone says. I would prefer Indy anyways...

Indy would work for me. Probably even better than Chicago.
