Speaking of wine ... the Indiana State Fair & the Indy Wine Competition is the preceding weekend, July 29 - 31. How would that work out for the rest of you? http://www.in.gov/iwc/
(Yes, Cops, ... someone will make sure you get back to the hotel. Maybe if you've had way too much & you're hurling, you could ride in the back of my truck & spew over the tailgate. I'll pray for those behind us in traffic.)
Oh! There's also Berne Swiss Days ... complete with Polka Music & stuff. I'm sure that a small Indiana town populated by lots of Mennonites & Amish would love to be invaded by former J-Ws making up for lost time, right? http://www.berneswissdays.com/
We should also be talking to LittleWitch (Indiana); Logansrun (Illinois); Pinned Blouse (Ohio); FlyinHighNow (Bangladesh); asortafairytale, and Emma (Michigan); Snapdragon, Blondie, XenaWarrior (Wisconsin) ... I'm sure I'm leaving a ton of people out. Anyone in Kentucky?

Dan,
I will PM the people you just listed, along with eyedrevil. If you think of anyone else, let me know. I will reefer them to this thread, and that way get a concensus for exact date.

Indianapolis is something I might be able to swing. I live about five hours north. I think maybe August is going to be better for me. Do they have Microtel there? My son and I stayed in one south of Bowling Green Kentucky. They are very, very nice and secure. I think our double room cost like $52 with my AAA discount. This place was nicer than Hampton Inn and they had a continental breakfast.

Okay, I just looked and there is one there and the rates are very reasonable, especially if you get some type of discount like AAA. http://www.ratesandavailability.com/11238821_MicrotelInnIndianapolis.htm They really are very nice hotels.
Here's some pics: They have highspeed internet connections, too. Other good features, too.
