Oh...and happy gardening Blondie. If the rain stops I hope to be out in my garden showing KINDNESS to my plants that never fail to show me unconditional love in return for my tender loving care. I'd rather take care of a garden than waste my time with the JW's.
It has stopped raining for sufficient intervals. We have indoor chores too. Isn?t it sad about how JWs talk about being kind but so few live it.

As usual your comments make real sense. The point you made about the article suggesting that JWs show kindness, but don't expect them to be showing kindness to us was exactly right.
I also noticed you type the dates in American yet you are based in Cornwall, England. I was intrigued by this.

It certainly illustrates the WTS policy of covering up such things. Actually, if Eli?s sons had sex with married women, they should have been executed under the Law.

Evidently, the elders didn?t think the third person was a proper chaperone. I find this WTS rule ludicrous because they are saying that sex only happens at night and not during the day.

Well, happy, you still have a choice. Abigail didn?t "wait on Jehovah." She ignored her husband?s "headship" and went to David to talk him out of killing her husband and his household (bloodthirsty guy David). Jesus didn?t wait until 70 CE when the Jewish nation was destroyed, he spoke out from 29-33 CE to the religious leaders about the wrongs they were doing. Nathan spoke out against David?s wrongdoing.

I move a lot but my home base is the US. Cornwall is a beautiful area and anyone visiting the UK should make a special effort to see it.

Kindness; only in the WTS do we have to have long, carefully worded articles about how kindness should be displayed. THINK abouth how ludicrous this is; LONG instructions on how to show kindness. Of course, it follows the idea that we need 2 or three meetings to tell us how to book a hotel room. (Yep, I am still irritated about it.)
What is so hilarious, and so hidden to the rank and file, is the veiled directions in each article. This weeks' has been mentioned by Blondie:
Elders are not to "wrongfully" show kindness to violators of god's principles. This is evidently veiled speak for: do NOT go soft on disfellowshiped ones. I originally thought it might mean that they should not show partiality to well known sinners, or maybe elders who were corrupt. Now that I rethink it I see where they are going. It can't be said outright I guess, so it is veiled.
Good job blondie; I will write more later.
I looked at this lesson this AM and decided not to go, even though the whole family here went. I get too chapped during lessons like this one.

It takes real strength to be truly kind and to avoid showing mistaken kindness?it cannot be a weak, compromising attitude toward wrong conduct. Mistaken kindness, on the other hand, is a weakness that cause one to condone wrongdoing.
And here we go again...Only the WT double think double speak can translate the meaning of kindness and twist it into being cruel. Where does forgiveness come into this picture? Didn't Jesus himself express the message that to err is human and to forgive is divine? I am not sure what I believe anymore--Christian or otherwise, but I do know the WT Org continues to spew its hypocritical message to their members and it is shocking to see it for what it truly is. Thanks Blondie--great job as usual. At least your comments get my blood moving. WT studies at the KH, such as this one, would've put me into a coma for sure. aloha, cybs -

Pistoff, I talked to an elder who went to Bethel after 30 years as a JW. In New Boys School after the Monday Bethel Family WT Study, he was instructed in the fine points of flushing the toilet thoroughly and squeeging out the shower after each use. As a married man with grown children, he found it offensive.

I look forward to any further comments you have. Congratulations on missing the meeting. I found it increasingly harder to go after each one. I would escape into the room for sisters with babies or sisters with disabilities and turn off the sound (I did this twice even with other sisters in there and we had a nice visit). Finally, just walking in and being interrogated on my whereabouts, made me ill. After some gruesome talks at a circuit assembly about non-JWs being "corposes," I made the final break. No more meetings ever. I hope that day comes for you Pistoff in a way that causes you the least pain.

There is no forgiveness in the WTS. They get your secrets and hold it over you the rest of your life. But then that is a characteristic of a cult-like group.

Well you would have flipped if you had seen the pictures in yesterday's lesson!! Next to the one picture, there is a caption which says: "Christian elders strive to be kind in dealing with the flock". And the picture? Two elders seated in the "back room" talking to a sister. Why couldn't it have been a man? Don't they realize pictures are worth 1,000 words? Are women the only ones needing to be talked to by elders in the "back room?" The other picture, on the next page, is again, a woman getting the short end of the stick. She has an anguised look on her face, seated at the table, while her husband is railing in the background. The caption: Jehovah's loving-kindness will not fail his servants in difficult times"

Thanks for adding that, flowerpetal. I forgot in my haste. The man yelling in the shadows, I imagine he is some fine upstanding elder/brother. He looks like he is yelling at someone in the background, a child perhaps? But of course, his wife sitting at the table can't protect the child from verbal abuse! Good call on the two elders talking to a sister after the meeting. I wonder if they are asking her where the man she had sex with touched her, how many times, what kind of underwear she had on if any and did she have an orgasm. Whoops, little x-rated here.
I am going shopping for a scanner today, one within my price range and easy to use.
