Geez...last night I try to crawl into bed, and there's like 6 inches of space. I push and shove, and Kate doesn't give up one inch!
OK, so we switched sides, and yet she is still bitchin' at me this morning that she didn't have enough "room on the bed."
This is a serious marital issue...should I retreat to the couch?
We bought a king sized bed - awesome lot of room

I second lady lee- king size bed. It's on our list for this year because I am a bed hog myself. Although it should be noted that our baby sleeps with us most of the time, and the extra space I take is of course all for the baby! Sounds good anyways, right?
Dont take the couch she will be offended and think something is wrong.
Get a bigger bed!
Besides getting a bigger bed we also have separate blankets and sheets on "our" side of the bed - but one comforter on top. This way we aren't fighting over the covers either
And now she's in the shower, giggling at her success in shoving me off.

stef, she also fights me for the couch...next, it'll be the floor.

My husband tried the bigger bed approach..
Didn't work for us..
He's still clinging onto the edge of the bed.
If he moves over.. I move over,..he moves over.. I move over.. and so on UNTIL he's clinging on the edge of the bed again.
I suspect sometime or other he will fall out onto the floor and that I will be right behind him tumbling over the edge. ...right on top of him. Then we will both be sleeping on the floor and when He moves over..then I'll move over and round and round the room we'll go.
