My husband and I were discussing the rally cry shortly before 1975, Stay Alive in 75 (1975), Some here believe that the end might come in 2034 (some tongue in cheek) counting 120 years from 1914 the same internal between when god supposedly pronounced judgment on the people on the earth before the flood would come.

So it could be, No More After 34. I thought it was good and funny at the same time.

Funny saying, however I think the 120 years business is already dead. The Watchtower began publication in 1879. One hundred and twenty years of preaching would have ended in 1999. This prophecy is already past its pull date.

The Society criticizes and blames the rank and file for coming up with dates, yet they constantly say we are on the brink of Armageddon, smh. The little boy who cried wolf is all that comes to mind. Or a broken clock tells the correct time twice a day, or a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

    That's funny Blondie.

    Here's a few more:

    "We Will Score in '34"

"You Won't be Poor in '34"

    "No More Whore in '34"

"Get in the Door by '34"

    "Free Houses Galore in '34"

    "Work no More in '34"

    "Survive the Uproar in '34"

"Free Scotch in Store after '34"

I don't see this current crop of GB getting back into the date-setting business. It's all "the end is near because we say so" with these clowns.

Thing is, they kinda already have. I mean in order to over lap with Fred Franz who died in, what, 92? They would have to have been anointed by that date, and even the most precocious JW kid couldn’t really claim to be anointed until ha was at least 15 - 20 years old. That would make the last and longest lived overlapper gone by, say, 2062. Realistically it would be waaay before that. I think Saunderson will be left carrying the can in about 30 years and will have to come up with another excuse by then.

In 2034 or afterwards, "In the past Jehovah's Witnesses have been presumptuous in trying to predict dates and generations or overlapping generations. The governing body has ALWAYS advised that nobody knows the day nor the hour. It's the Jehovah's Witnesses who didn't heed the governing body who are to blame for not having saved for retirement, nor any of the myrid of other problems they now have. Let us be thankful we have the governing body to advise us and next time to listen to them!"

"We will close the door in '34!"
