I feel sorry for JWS single woman in their 40's to 60's , for their chances of finding a mate and settling down are slim to none.
If a young normal guy is looking for partner/marriage he isn't going to go after the older females in the congregation.
Even the older guys will have their eyes on the younger woman in the congregation.
I've seen woman in the mid age group never marry because of this, because they are forced to marry a JWS plain and simple.
Once the social restrictions are over with, Assemblies will reappear, congregations will rejoin so young JWS girls will once again be in the market by young guys which appears there aren't that many as there used to be.

As far as the dating situation in Witness world: it was always bad. Back then I saw very attractive sisters of all ages who couldn’t find a guy. Every now and then a desperate sister would settle for some brother who under normal conditions would be untouchable. But, she wanted to be married. I certainly wasn’t going to do this! I always said that a woman had to look outside the religion for a man.
As far as I was concerned, all the desirable or attractive men were taken. As for the trend of older brothers looking for a teenage girl as a wife: unfortunately that is true, sadly.
All in all, I’m glad I’m long gone from this religion. At this point, I could never stomach being around the mentality of it all.

r123, that is a given, marriage is about procreation, having and taking care of children. and wisdom (the bible) and evolution demand that beauty (for future, the kid's) mate selection) and yes, a small waist, are essential.
Beauty is divine. Young and old should rise to the occasion to perpetuate it.
I do not see these days among the young singles the urgency that the damned -( not cursed but restrained) - up sex drive leads forces them into marriage. With the many eligible young sisters and brothers within the horizon, the place should be quivering with tension, sparks flying, where is it gone?
This is just another indication of how controlling the JWS religion is.
For example my JWS parents came from different religions when they were in their late teens but they still got together and ended up marrying.

This isn't the only highly controlling religious organization out there that imposes this upon its devoted adherents.

My congregation had 3 young folks in their early twenties that left over the course of the 'pandemic' (all separate instances; one threatened suicide and so wasn't disfellowshipped)
