What do you think would be the first steps to take in order to obtain world peace?
Ban all religion. Hmm, didn't someone else already say that? ;-)
Perhaps it's a conspiracy and the Pope's in on it. Perhaps he's trying to hurry along Armageddon? Or maybe not - we may never know as perhaps it may be impossible while there are still this type of mammal called man on the earth.

First off the pope seems to very misguided, not only in his teaching(which btw is wrong, Jesus said you must only worship GOD. not mary or whoever else) but also in his very way of doing things. People seems to be worshipping the pope, everytime i look up somebody is falling on their face towards him and kissing his feet and kissing his hand. The pope aint nobody special, he just like anybody else. lol. anYway besides all that crazy stuff.
JH: maybe if you read the bible then you would'nt ask questions like this. Im not giving out any info right now , but one of the things that GOD has told peter to tell the world is:
"THE TIME IS COMING, WHEN GOD HAS PROMISE MAKKIND A NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH, WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS, WHEREIN THE HOME OF THE RIGHTEOUSNESS, WE WILL DWELL IN IT FOREVER -2 peter chapter 3 verse 13"
Keep in mind i quoted that but i dont have my bible near me right now, so in that chapter it is written diffrent. But the bottom line is that GOD ALWAYS KEEPS HIS PROMISE! dont be ignorant of this.
Some european new world orderists think that nation states need to be destroyed and races mixed. A sort of international socialism, w some kind of central govt for the earth as a whole. Think lion king, yes, the kids' movie.
Personally, i really don't know. On the other hand, consider the situation in europe at around the 14th century. Many of those countries were at war w each other, as the muslims advanced from the south, totally ignored by them. A weakening of european patriotism, after napolean has left a condition in europe where there is almost no war. Food for thought

Yes in theory it is possible -- but it will not happen in most of our lifetimes -- either the WTBTS is correct and only Rule by God will bring it about -- or nations have to give up their Jingoism and Patriotism -- and work for the common good of the world -- there are too many nations that would not be willing to do this and only be willing to look after their own narrow self-interests.

I say it again and again and again...if you want to look at a world without religion...look to what the Soviets did...or the Chinese...or the Khmer Rouge....Religion isn't the issue...people are.
UK...Point of order...Catholics only worship God...we don't worship Mary, nor the Pope (and I've NEVER IN MY 39 YEARS seen ANYONE kiss the Pope's feet...his ring yes...his feet NEVER)...nor do we worship a bunch of dirty old men in Brooklyn.
As to the specific issue of this thread...the Pope is wrong on this one...as he has been on other issues related to war and peace. UNTIL MEN's (and women's) hearts change...peace is not possible. So, I wait for Jesus...that doesn't relieve us of TRYING to bring about peace.
