I was just looking at MSNBC updates and was astonished to find that one of Saddam's daughters has taken to defending him, and even suggests that the American's drugged him. She likened him to a lion who would always be a lion, even when caught.

It just boggles my mind, that here you have this obviously attractive woman, defending the father who murdered her husband, not to mention his whole lifestyle of corruption and murder; whereas the relatives of anyone DF'd or DA'd as JW's are judged unworthy of association, are labeled and shunned.

Something is not right here, for sure.

It's her father. Everyone wants to defend their father.

It does kind of make sense. The US even reports that he was very disoreinted.

Ya, and who made sure that his hair was perfectly dyed black, no grey roots?

Not this daughter. I would never defend my child molesting JW father.

This is just an example of how some abuse vicitms will defend the abuser. Or maybe she was glad her husband was killed. There are too many factors.

...and we thought we only had to look out for militant men over there. Her attitude just surprised me, and she is living in a safe area with no concerns. Certainly a daughter would have feelings for a good and loving father. But, he was not a father in that sense. He was a possessor and a controller; a pervert in dispicable ways. He possessed his wives and his children. When family members disobeyed, they were killed, like her own husband. (Maybe she didn't mind; but still...) It just goes to show that they think differently about lots of things. Obviously when one does live with abuse all their life, they succumb to the mind play and control patterns. No wonder, things like this are passed down generation after generation and then accepted as normal.

Maybe he had his own dye and scisors.

I'm not seeing any gray roots in his hair on his head...just in his beard...the US did shave him though.

That's my point. He is about 66 yrs old. It must have been all that health food and good living that kept him from graying on top.

Who knows...my grandfather's hair on top of his head was as black as coal til he died at age 81...yet his beard grew in salt and pepper. Perhaps the same is true with Saddam....or perhaps he did continue to dye his hair...but not his beard....which is just really wierd.
