Where do you see the Organization in the next 10 years?

Realistically, between now and 2034, what do you think Watchtower will change or reform to appear more mainstream? What business opportunities do you see Watchtower getting involved in?

    My predictions are as follows:

    • Online Live Meetings on JW.ORG.
    • Midweek meetings with more videos, less discussion.
    • Weekend meeting with videos for the Watchtower Study.
    • More emphasis on congregations focusing on public witnessing with carts and leaflet distribution in public areas, less emphasis on D2D and RVs, that being reserved for "personal territory".
    • Leaflets redesigned to only offer Bible study courses.
    • Watchtower and Awake public editions are fazed out. Most brochures are also fazed out. Only Was Life Created, Origin of Life, Enjoy Life Forever, Apply Yourself, Love People and See the Good Land will remain.
    • Rebranded Organization book to appear even more "transparent".
    • New Revelation book, and Isaiah and Daniel prophecy books. Revised Imitate Their Faith to include more from online only articles. These books will continue the CBS for another few years.
    • Body of Elders and MS arrangement changed to being chosen / deleted by the Circuit Overseer himself rather than by recommendation through the BOE.
    • All current Circuit Overseers and wives must have been enrolled at SKE, resulting in the removal of pre-SKE COs.
    • SKE will be looked after by a separate legal corporation not associated with the Branch office, further removing liability for any issues with elders and ministerial servants. This legal corporation will be responsible for the direction of Circuit Overseers, Special Pioneers and Construction Servants.
    • A legal corporation office will be installed in every city or town in which a congregation resides, as a base for communication for the Circuit Overseers and Local Elders, the construction or renovation of which will be on the list for free slave labour by willing volunteers and a massive moneymaking scheme for the org.
    • More Assembly Halls in most cities will be built, potentially to replace any Kingdom Halls (to be sold of course) and merge even more congregations and force congregations to travel further for meetings.
    • JW.ORG will include new features for singles to find potential marriage mates.
    • JW.ORG will include new features to provide an opportunity for anonymous confession regarding a sin, to be responded by a 24/7 operator whose aim is to basically find out where you're from, secretly tell the elders in your cong, yet manipulate you to tell them in detail about your sins.
    • No more ban on "worldly celebrations", it's up to each Christian family's conscience to decide what to do.
    • Porn, oral sex and masturbation are no longer treated as uncleanness and are personal choice as long as they are done in private.
    • The calculation for 1914 is completely abandoned, yet jws will still claim we can perceive that we are in the Last Days now.
    • More crazy beliefs are gradually changed in random boxes and footnotes in upcoming Watchtowers! The gaslighting will be real!

3/4 of my hall will be dead and the younger ones didn't have any children. It will keep becoming more and more liberal to try and recruit people but will still keep the disfellowshipping the worshipping of the governing body.

    • Online Live Meetings on JW.ORG.
    • They kind of backtracked on that after 'pandemic' despite being a great opportunity to switch.
    • More emphasis on congregations focusing on public witnessing with carts and leaflet distribution in public areas, less emphasis on D2D and RVs, that being reserved for "personal territory".
    • All of these are already categorized as 'personal ministry' to avoid liability, although cart use actually has stricter requirements, which undercuts that. Still, increasing carts & leaflets wouldn't be good for them as that would mean more overhead (far more carts & leaflets would need to be produced) when they're moving to "conversations" now, which are free.
    • Watchtower and Awake public editions are fazed out.
    • Definitely. They wood keep the WT for study editions only, one reason being Russell implied that this magazine ceasing publication would show Jehovah's lack of favor. But as for Awake that can easily be put to sleep, as the name has been changed numerous times & it bears no resemblance to its former self or any magazine for that matter, being just a name only.
    • New Revelation book
    • Absolute necessity. The high-school level 'art' & prophecies supposedly fulfilled in random ramblings by Rutherford in the 20's (and that don't hold up to current understanding anyway) are a real embarrassment.
    • The calculation for 1914 is completely abandoned, yet jws will still claim we can perceive that we are in the Last Days now.
    • More crazy beliefs are gradually changed in random boxes and footnotes
    • Both long time coming & par for the course.
    • Porn, oral sex and masturbation are no longer treated as uncleanness and are personal choice as long as they are done in private.
    • They already unspokely removed non-missionary prohibitions for married couples in a recent WT, but of course this wouldn't be allowed for the unmarried. Porn & masturbation will still be frowned on, but they already realize these are basically unavoidable & acknowledge they aren't classified as "serious" sins, even introducing the new contradictory category of "non-abhorrent pornography", so are more forgiving with it, especially for single ones, as long as you're 'working on it'.

I see the WT experiencing the fulfilling prophecies of Revelation.

It will continue to shrink until it reaches the sustainable size for a cult of its nature - like the current Bible Students.

I think they will do whatever it takes to keep the corporation going.

As the donation base recedes, dying off of the old timers, more descendants leaving and few new converts, they will look to business/real estate investments to keep it alive. They have plenty of those and have very savvy business people actually running the corporation.

As a religion, they will make it easier for people to be counted on the rosters. The message won't change much, it doesn't have to. They've had basically the same message for decades with just tweaks for the lasting the decades, lol. They could go mainstream but for what purpose? People could go anywhere for that and not have to deal with the baggage of the WT. .02

I think they will continue to make slow moves towards more mainstream Christianity, with many small changes and perhaps the occasional big change. This includes easing up on the invasive attitude and letting JWs enjoy a more normal social life.

Bigger changes will take longer. I wonder if they will eventually allow JWs to observe holidays as a "conscience matter." They will eventually drop the blood policy, if they can find a way to do it without triggering a mass of lawsuits. And, if things work out, they can finally drop the "end is closer than you think" attitude that tends to alienate more people than it attracts.

    The blood policy..

This is a tricky one. They really do have a tiger by tail.

Perhaps making it a conscience matter.

It just cant go away overnight. Not without serious, serious ramifications. To be captain obvious.
