    What it really means is fictional mythology.

    Its not going to happen, the ancients told stories of their gods to up lift their power and relevance,

    The ancient Hebrews did this too for their god Yahweh

    Harnessing the power of the gods toward certain select men has been ongoing since the earliest insertion of humanity's civilizations as it still occurs today.

    The prospect and/or threat of Armageddon justifies all manner of coercive behaviours ("We're pressuring you because we want you to survive", "Given we are so very close to the end, you need to focus on the warning work and put to one side your doubts about the organization's policies on child sex abuse").
