Isn’t JW’s teaching of “the abomination that causes desolation” wrong?

  Disillusioned JW,

  Because JWs’ Head Quarters is in the US soil, JWs naturally believe US-led-World Power is the King of the South which will win if there is a III World War. But larger perspective tells a different story.

  Ukraine has been irritating Russia for decades now. (was fuming for many years) Putin doesn’t want the remnant of formerly glorious USSR to go into oblivion. Hence he knows what he is doing. He will not venture without thinking all the pros and cons. (Madeleine Albright had a lot to say about Putin — and she didn't mince words)

  Putin is using Ukraine as a bait to drag the West into a real confrontation and West [King of North] will “storm” against East [Russia]. (Daniel 11:40) In the process, it will invade “Land of Beauty.” (Daniel 11:41) The word used for “beauty” is צֶ֫בִי (tsbiy) which Isaiah 24:16 equates with “beauty of the righteous ones” or “holy ones” (Mathew 24:22) on account of whom “Great Tribulation” will be cut short. And King of the North will meet its end. (Daniel 11:45)

  King of North is the West because it started “pushing” (Daniel 11:40) towards its contrasting World Power (Russia)—through its expansion of NATO to the nose [tempting Ukraine] of Russia which has long back disbanded its THE WARSAW PACT [counter to NATO] in 1991. This Ukraine issue will climax in III World War and eventual use of all Nuclear Warheads which will make this earth again into ‘dark and formless’ as in Genesis 1:1-2. This gives opportunity for God to show again His unconditional love* by “Recreating” Heaven [Paradise] on earth. (Mathew 19:28) Hence the expression “these are the ones who came out of Great Tribulation.” (Revelation 7:14) This is also given in Nostradamus Prediction. (2020s: Decade of Destruction and Transformation)

  *Unconditional love, because judgement is not based on belief system, but on whether one was humane in his dealing with fellow-humans. (Mathew 5:43-48; 25:31-40. Contrast what happens to believers. (Mathew 7:21-23; 8:10-12)

  Since Jesus superior teaching applications are spiritual.

  To equate “North” and “South” in WT terms is a mistake.

  WTs “love” Is Conditional.

  You have given me something to ponder on Abraham1. The Abomination that causes Desolation” could be the elephant in the room, because it causes a great distraction. (That nobody wants to talk about).

  Thinking about your first post.. WT prime treasure, or teaching, is that of “Jehovah’s Universal Sovereignty”. I think that is incorrect and a distraction. He is bigger than that.

  It is really really very simple and boils down to Jesus teaching about how we treat and care for each other.

  So, by extension, it could be discussed, that the “Abomination that causes desolation” is the issue and distraction or focus to - Jehovah’s Universal Sovereignty - a thought and concept perhaps an abomination (hateful) thing to God.

  When the reality of that is grasped, well, we know what we do.

  The basis Jesus judges is by wether we feed a hungry one. Visit a sick one. Help a needy one .. ordinary human actions an love of neighbour, golden rule type stuff! Being don to Christ’s brothers

  All WT articles around that,(Matt 25) have “Christ’s brothers” being the “Faithful and Discreet Slave” and mankind is judged on how individuals treat 8 men living in luxury in NY State!

  That is another elephant in the room that some close to me refuse to discuss.

  And yes. They feel the King of the South is USA and Great Britain because they (WT) are in their own eyes the Centre of everything.

  The Kings of the North and South is not necessarily a physical, geographical thing since Jesus spoke Spiritually.

  Another thing I need to do is look into the Ukraine thing and the Hooks in the Jaws, the bait.... The Ukraine has interesting significance to the Physical land of Israel.

  I don't see how the expansion of NATO membership can be viewed as a "pushing" in a military sense, since that expansion is not a result of military conquest (despite NATO being a military alliance of countries). Instead it is a result of countries voluntarily joining NATO.

  However Ukraine is clearly engaging in military pushing against Russia. For example, a news report says that Ukrainian forces managed to push back Vladimir Putin's invading army from the Ukrainian capital's outer edges.NATO is also engaging in pushing by supplying Ukraine with weapons to fight Russia, and by placing sanctions on Russia. But the expansion of NATO membership is not "pushing".
  

  Abraham1, I don't think the WT thinks there will be a World War III between nations, since such a war would likely be a nuclear war which very likely would destroy all nations, and very likely all humans and virtually all kinds of life on planet Earth.
