    from a very secular perspective:

Why would the creator of such a vast complex universe chose to reveal himself through ancient teachings of Judeo-Christianity?

Okey Dokey. God has allowed the erroneous thinking ? So that means that any WTS doctrine may change at any time because it may be erroneous. The error is there because god has allowed it to be. Many errors are in the Bible that we don't know about yet. Things like the little flock, 144,000, Jesus second coming , Jesus being the son of god, Paul being a man of god, Jesus born of a virgin, the sun standing still, and the earth being created in 6 days. All may be mis-translations. We need to wait and see what god was REALLY talking about.

So the Brooklyn, Patterson, and Wallkill enclaves may be an erroneous move. God is testing the Israelites brothers to see just how greedy and power hungry they can get, and just how many children will get molested, just like job the children feel it is their fault and they are being punished . Maybe god is waiting for someone to stand up and speak for righteousness ... Hey someone already has done this ... several people ... we're in a new prophet margin.

The reason it won't work are the three rules.

Rule #1. The Governing Body is never wrong.

Rule #2. If the Governing Body is ever wrong, see rule #1.

Rule #3. If you don't like rules #1 and #2, you will be shunned.

Yes Panda-----Now you see the lite. God ALLOWS the erroneous thinking of imperfect men that he uses to dispense "truth" (whatever they understand to be "truth"). He doesn't say anything wrong. He's perfect. He's not gonna come down everytime there's a misunderstanding, silly.

OK. So we have this situation according to JW thinking:

The past: God uses various prophets.

Result: message is infallible, pure truth.

The present: God uses 12 old geezers in brooklynn.

Result: message is fallible, erroneous thinking mixed with what they understand to be the truth.

    This itches up some questions:

Why would God change a perfect system of dispensing truth and switch to an inferiour one?

How do we sift truth from error in this way? If you had a lifesaving message to the human race would you use a channel that is known for it's accuracy (The Times for example) or would you use a tabloid?

Another question: What is the difference between God using a Prophet and God using 12 men? Both are fallible and imperfect. Yet the prophet's message was infallible, why is this not the case with the 12?

Remember these are questions aimed at a JW's defense...

Min you are a good devil's advocate. That is indeed the reasoning a jw employs!

    Eduardo,

    You said:

Like the apostles and, in fact, others thoughout the bible record who had to adjust their thinking upon receiving new teaching from God, JWs claim only to have an inside track today on receiving that continued teaching and so from time to time do make adjustments to their theology (belief system

I assume that by "new teaching" you mean revised thinking or understanding, as this is what the topic is about.

For the uneducated, like myself, can you please give examples from the Bible where God gave revised teaching or thinking to the apostles and others throughout the Bible?

    Thank you
